I have seen a article that stated that the Cowboys ultimately own the stadium and the naming rights. Then I saw another one that was much less clear, so I am unsure.

But if Jones owns the rights there will be a corporations name on the stadium, you can bet on that.

No way it ends up with a Player's name...or a county's.

On the one hand Jerry has every right to put his own name on the stadium, but if I were the owner, the stadium would be named after the highest bidder for the marketing rights....that's how it's done these days...gotta go with the money.

I was thinking the samething. Maybe a Texas based corporation.

Something like: Dr Pepper Stadium @ Dallas Cowboys Park

Dell Stadium@...

***I can already picture the promo cans from Dr Pepper. They could change their colors from the maroon and lighter shade of maroon to the Cowboys colors. Examples: regular DP cans would be the darker(away) blue with the letters in white with the back/reflection and stripe being the silverish color. While the Diet DP cans would be white with Royal blue letters and again silverish background and stripe. You know just during the football season, at least the inaugural season***

That and this report from The Dallas Morning News' Katie Fairbank The $650 million project would include:

The Stadium has to include Arlington in the name.

That was part of the deal when the city agreed to finance.

I always thought Tom Landy Field at Texas Stadium of Arlington would be a good name, but if Irving owns the rights to "Texas Stadium" then that idea is moot.

Jerry Jones owns all naming rights to the stadium and the city of Arlington has no veto power over the name. Jerry can name it Tampon field, Preperation H Stadium or who ever the highest bidder is and he will.
Jerry is also getting all of the parking lot fees, food and consession and the car rental hotel tax increases paid to him in Arlington. That in addition to getting the stadium for free. Yes Jerry is putting up some of his own cash but he will be paid back with interest from our taxes. The sales tax increase will go to the city of Arlington.
All of the money he gets from the naming of the stadium will be cash paid directly to Jerry and is pure profit for him. Not only that with the new stadium the Dallas cowboys as an organization is now worth over 1 billion dollars. Jerry bought the team for about 180 million, not a bad investment. Curly
