Jerry took it in the pants to get this done. Lip smack

Basically he says that the owners had to think about the league over the teams or money. Lip smack

That the league is evolving and we don't really know now what the effects of this new agreement will be. Lip smack

Gave up a lot more money than he really wanted to. Lip smack

The fans were the reason this league had to get this done. Lip smack

It is madness to compare baseball and football. The league shares 80% of the revenue. Lip smack

Lip smack

Wouldn't get into how much would be shared. Lip smack

There is not a competitive balance problem in the NFL. Lip smack

Blah Blah Blah Blah Lip smack

I have a lot of respect for Jerry Jones. He really did forego millions of dollars for the better of the league. I am proud to say that the NFL is the only league that is capable of foregoing a lock out or strike for the fans sake. It would have been real easy for Jerry to say frick it, I am not going to share my money with you lazy bastids. Lets have an uncapped league starting in 08.

I think he realizes the casual fan of football watches more often with hope that they have a shot at winning the super bowl THIS year, no matter who your team is, except the cardinals of course.

Jerry's had over ten years of making unshared money so there should be no crying over this. What all the teams have done has made for a stronger league. There's no ceiling on what the Cowboys can make in unshared money, they just pay a percentage of it directly to the players.
