Len Dawson on KC Channel 9 sports just reported the Chiefs were offering a 5th round pick for Owens but they were unable to work out a contract with Owens so the deal fell through.

Something tells me that T.O did not want to play in K.C. I doubt the money had much to do w/ it. Me thinks T.O wants a big city for his stage.

Its either that or he was late for his plane to Dallas and could not take Herms phone call. =P

The Chiefs GM Carl Peterson has said a few weeks ago they would be interested only if TO would take a minimum contract with performance incentives. That's not what TO's looking for. It's going to take a lot more.
