Sorry guys, I missed a little of this as someone came in my office...

Mickey:
I'm maybe a little surprised none of the brass is around Valley Ranch, but it is not that big of a deal.
Something about a kicker here and if Dallas had had one last year they would possibly be an 11-5 team.
What WR's are available? Key is probably the second best one out there, so TO is the logical choice.
Their biggest concern on Key was that if they gave him the 1 mil roster bonus, he would have leverage on them to renegotiate. If he didn't get what he wanted they feared he would just retire and keep the money.
The Kosier signing has spelled the end of LA, at least at 7.5 mil a year. He will need to renegotiate.
If they keep LA, someone has toplay tackle. Is it Kosier? not likely.
Dallas has the philosphy of going for it this year. Rookie WR's struggle so I don't see them going for one in round 1. If they sign another one and take Jackson for down the line, that is ok. But we shouldn't give up on Crayton yet. You would have to hope that GB will trade Walker, or Buffalo cuts Moulds for that scenario.
GB says they don't want to trade Walker, but that is good leverege for getting more for him.
If Dallas signs TO, I would imagine there will be very high-arched eyebrows in the locker room. Who is going to take over the leader? With Dallas ridding themselves of so many team leaders, Bledsoe is the only one that could possibly take the role. You could only sign him as long as you think Bledsoe is going to be here as he will blow up a young QB. Maybe a 1 year deal with an option.

People keep talking about how we would have been 11-5 if we had a good kicker last year. Fact is, even if we would have been 11-5 last year, we would have fallen flat on our face in the playoffs. Teams had already figured out that we had pedestian Tackles and they were going after them with everything they had.

I don't suppose it is a big deal when there is no sense of urgency.

But even with all that going on..

..if the kicks were made that should have been made..the playoffs was the goal all along.

Me..?

I don't care to make excuses about kickers when we had so many things that should have been better had we scored more and played more aggressively from mid-season on.

Once we reached 7-4, we pulled back and went into every game trying not to lose.

Kickers or not, that has to change or we will never do anything as you indicate.

Well, we did beat a Playoff team called the Carolina Panthers, on the road, in the second to last game of the season.

I agree and not so much because of T.O but because we need some leaders in this locker room and he's been a leader on a dynasty team

Willie is a MUST sign with all the leadership gone now! He really is. He has at least two good year if not three left in his tank, but his leadership will be worth more then that with a young talented defense that still has no identity.

Agreed, I just can't get out of my mind that Washington game. You could even argue that we could have been 12-4 if you take into account that we probably didn't give it our best effort against the Rams. I for one can't wait to see Flozell back.

But remember, the Panthers weren't trying to win that game.

Or so I've been told.
