This is a simple question.. as of right now, who has the better starting CBs?

Dallas with Terence Newman and Anthony Henry

or

Philly with Sheldon Brown and Lito Sheppard

Dont take into fact that Aaron Glenn is the best backup CB in the whole league this is just the starters...

Philly has an excellent defensive coach, and his blitzes and unexpected stunts create turnovers and make his secondary look better than it is. If his stunts fail, their secondary is exposed.

What is that... a bird or.. a plane, wait it's T.O. catching a 90 yard T.D. on Sheldon Brown.

I would take Henry and Newman any day. They have much more upside as well.

Let me tell you what makes the Eagles secondary looks better than what it really is... Their D-Line.. If the Eagles don't have a pass-rush, their conerbacks are garbage... they could really get dumped on...Now with T.O. and Terry Glenn it's even worst...

I'm with all these guys, Terry and Bledsoe burned these guys. Henry and Newman have actually performed without an excellent pass rush. See the Oakland game.

Honestly, that could be said for any DBs in the whole league. They all will get beat without a pass rush.

I wouldn't give up Terence Newman for both Sheldon Brown AND Lito Sheppard.

Id like to hear the eagles fans post a reply to the thread. Just having Newman alone is better than both of the eagles cornerbacks in my opinion.

70% of the world is covered in water, the rest is covered by Sheldon Brown :lmao2:

Hold On ...let me get this right ...we're on a Cowboys MB asking Cowboy fans ...whose team players do you think are best ...our team or theirs?

Are you for real!

And your responses are so darn predictable. There's only One response that is worth reading ...

Otherwise everyone else is merely saying ..."yeah, it's our team, their team soks (excuse my Philly accent).

My response:

Given that all CBs are healthy, the best team would be that team with the most aggressive pass rushing system in place. It's a well kown fact that pressure on the Qb always makes the CB job easier. I'd have to say that the WR running routes would also make a difference. For example TO against most CBs in the league will create distance and separation for a Qb to deliver.

Hence, we'll have to wait and see what variables will be the deciding factor. Believe we won't Have to wait Long ...it's my understanding (and I have not seen the 2006 schedule yet) that the Eagles opening game is against the Cowboys.

Even though we are Cowboy fans, we aren't completely biased. It's just that our corners are better. It's a common knowledge fact.
