I like your draft a lot.
I think the first 2 picks would start, which is important.
And I think S. Fifita would get in serious reps as well. Jeff Webb could be groomed for 1-2 years and become a decent number 2 or 3 WR for us.
I have to read up on Hightower a bit more.

Nice Draft NateDawg. I think I read somewhere that the Boys were interested in Webb. He ran faster than people expected and he was pretty productive at SDSU. If the draft fell that way, it would be great.

I like your first and second round picks a lot.
That's why this draft should be a good one for the Cowboys. I'd like to see us come out of the first two rounds with an OLB and a FS. There are a number of combinations that we could end up with and have a very successful draft.
First round:
Lawson
Carpenter
Wimbley
Second round:
Whitner
Allen
Bullocks
So if we come out with Lawson/Whitner, we're good to go. If we end up with Carpenter/Allen, I'm fine with that. Wimbley/Bullocks is just dandy. Carpenter/Whitner is great.
You get what I'm saying... any combination of those guys would make us all very happy and that should be very do-able.

1ST - Manny or Bobby
2ND - Pat Watkins
3RD - Travis Wilson
5TH - Adam Stenovich
6TH - Ryan Cook
7TH - Jeff King
Here's a draft that I wouldn't mind seeing.

I like it - options, options, options - throw in two or three tackles into that mix and how could we not do well? we have done well enough in FA that we can go in many directions in the first three rounds and come out of it ( draft ) with just as strong a draft as last year....

I like Travis Wilson a ton. He had the most TD's of any OU WR last year on a team that had Bradley, Clayton and Jones all guys who made an impact in someway or another last year. Cook is a good player I hope he's there in the 6th but I think with his size he will likely be gone in the 4th. JMO I think you can throw Pat Watkins in the entire Jason Allen, Donte Whitner, Daniel Bullocks mix. It's all about personal preference and out of them mine is Whitner. He's Brian Dawkins reincarnate. I do have a little reservation about Allen because he reminds me a whole lot of Julian Battle who didn't turn out very well for the Chiefs.

3rd Jeff Webb WR SDSU
5th Pierre Woods OLB Michigan
6th Steve Fifita DT Utah
7th Jami Hightower OG Texas A&MBest I've seen so far.
I obviously like the Lawson pick.
I like Whitner's ball hawk skills.
I love Webb's numbers he put up last year, his size and 4.3 speed.
I love Woods, even though he might be there in the 7th. He's a big fast
athletic linebacker that can get to the QB
I love love love Fifta. (not in a broke back mountain way) but his size and weight and strength, being the second strongest NT in the draft.
Hightower is going to have to lose 35 to 40 pounds to play for Parcells. He's listed at 6'4 367 and that's overboard.

I think Woods was made for the 3-4 I think he's the ultimate tweener you get later on that has a chance to be something.
The more I read the more I like.
Hightower who knows maybe he can get on the Parcells weight loss plan like Pettiti

Hightower doesn't have the work ethic to survive under Parcells. Parcells would eat him within 2 weeks. It would be a wasted pick. Hightower began his senior year as the starter and was replaced before conference play by a 2-star freshman. He's not worth a draft pick.

Jerry said today they will not look for a safety in the first tow rounds. See WoodysGirl's post:

Then Pat Watkins is your guy. Big/Fast/ ball hawk, everything you can ask for.

I think everyone who's writing off OT with the 1st pick might be upset come draft day...
Rick Gosselin keeps saying they really like Winston Justice...it wont surprise me, especially if he's still there at 18 (although I dont think he will be)...if he is there at 18 he would be good value IMO as well, as he is an instant upgrade at RT for this season and probably moves to LT next yr..with him and Adams we'd have a really good pair of bookends

Not bad, I love the Lawson, Woods, and Fifita picks
I don't care for you FS or WR, I would prefer Jason Allen or Maurice Stovall in the second and Travis Wilson, Greg Jennings, Davin Joseph, OT Whitworth, or Pat Watkins in the third.
Love the Woods pick, he's underrated like Cato June was a few years back.
I would also consider Gocong and Schlegel in the 5th and OL Stenavich in the 6th or 7th.
I wouldn't be upset with your draft overall, but what it says to me is: we need more picks.

I will be a very unhappy Cowboys fan if we walk out of that draft with only one OL and that OL is fat and lazy.
