Lifted this picture from another thread (thanks silverbear!)

How many of these Cowboys from the 1967 team picture can you name? No looking it up folks - that's no fun!

Do it from memory.

Don't list the names just yet. Just post how many you can attach a name to. We'll make you prove it a bit later.

I think I can name 18 or 19 right now.

Well, lets see,

Right to left, top to bottom:

Jethro Pugh (75), don't recognize the other two, next guy might be Clark, 5th guy is the kicker and I don't remember his name. Second from the end on the right is Norman and the last guy on the right IS Rayfield.

Next row, I don't know the first two guys on the end from the left but the third guy from the left is George Andre. 68 I don't know, 71 is Towns (I think), 72 I don't know, 73 is Neely, 74 is Mr. Cowboy his self.

Next Row, 46 I don't know, guy with no hair is Jerry Tubbs, 52 is Edwards, 53 I don't know. Guy with the flat top is Chuck Howley. Neanderthal next to him is Lee Roy Jordan. 56/57 I don't know.

Next Row, Don't know, don't know, don't know but 30 is Dan Reeves. Guy next to him is Cornell Green. 35 might be Garrison but I don't know for sure. 37 I don't know. Guy on the end on the right, 43 is Don Perkins.

Next Row, 11 I don't know, 13 might be Jerry Rhome, 14 is Craig Morton, 19 is Rentzel, 20 is Mel Renfro, 21 I don't have a clue but 22 is Bob Hayes.

How'ed I do?

Yeah, I don't who 35 is then but I would bet Walt Garrison isn't in the photo because he was still out on Rodeo Tour.

Yeah, but I would not have remembered him or recognized him. I knew Walt was on that team so I figured 35 was him.

I think the guy on the right end, top row is Rayfield Wright. He didn't start wearing 70 until he got moved to OT. He started out as a TE. I'm pretty sure that's Rayfield there on the end.

I know 24, I guess that makes me officially an "Old Fart".

I started following them in '65 when I was 10.

There's been only one No. 13 in team history, so that one's easy, even though I wouldn't have recognized him out of uniform.

About 18, but some of the numbers and faces are not clear enough for me to tell for sure. It's been a long time and I got old.

However I watched from the beginning and followed Dandy Don close in college when he was at SMU and I even went to the Baylor/SMU game when he was a senior. Ronnie Bull was pretty much Baylor's star back then. It was a great game.

I can't tell you how happy I was when the Cowboys got Dandy Don.

ABQ did pretty darn well.

I had those too (except Clarke) plus Niland and I thought sure Dave Manders would be 53 but he is listed on the 66 & 68 rosters but not 67. Anyway, he was 51. I thought Blaine Nye (61) would be on the 67 team too. But not til 68.

That was some nice OL pieces - Wright, Neeley, Niland, Nye & Manders

Ahhh, to have an OL again.

i got 20 of them right....including #11 danny villanueva.
sad to say i blew #73 (neely)...im ashamed of that.
#'s 68,37,53,45,83,62,79,56,23,72,33,79,31,50,57,65 totally eluded me.

Pugh in # 85 slipped right on by also.

after checking my answers with a roster, it showed 2 people having # 46
that year...i remembered baynham, not les shy..so im not sure who the
picture is.

that was fun...gee i am getting old.

Thanks for the link Cbz40. I know a guy from my church who was on the 60, 61 and 62 teams, but never knew all the guys on those teams he had played with. He was a backup, but I would love to be a backup on any Cowboys team.
