I'm not thrilled with this draft at all, but I will try to have faith in Bill and Jerry at this point. The one question I do have is why have we not addressed DE or DT in either of the last two drafts? We haven't had a real pass rush in a long time. If we're going for developmental players, as we should be in the 7th, why not bring in someone like Isaac Hilton and see if he can develop into a pass rush specialist? I know I will be inundated with posts to the effect that Parcells and Jones know what they are doing, but it seems to be a frustrating pattern with these two (I know it's hard to call two drafts a pattern). Did anyone we pick after the fourth round last year (aside from Smith) even make our team? This has been one frustrating draft in my opinion.

Well, you can't just cast aside Smith and pretend no one made the team after the 4th round last year. Smith counts. There's a reason guys are still around in rounds 5-7. They generally aren't that good. Getting one guy among those 3 rounds that contributes is pretty good actually. Remember also, that they got Cason for a 7th, and that counts too.
As far as DT, I really don't think it's even remotely a need right now. They can upgrade, yes, but with Glover, Blade, and Carson, it's just not a need. Now if a potential elite player, such as Wilfork, fell to them, I think they would've taken him. But it would be foolhardy to target one with the other holes we have.
DE we addressed in FA. If there was a no brainer at any spot they might have taken one, but with Wiley, Ellis, and Ogbogu it's also not a pressing need.
