Not sure if this is gonna get made, so I'll go ahead and do it.
This is what they're saying about the Cowboys...
Free Agent Losses:
Larry Allen - "Big Mistake, they'll learn to regret it, he's their best lineman."
Keyshawn Johnson - "Say what you want, but he put his butt on the line every week."
Free Agent Acquisitions:
Terrell Owens & Mike Vanderjagt - "They'll get on each other's case if Vandy misses a kick, or Owens plays badly. Winning cures everything..."
Concerns:
Bledsoe getting hurt - "He's too susceptible to injury..."
Julius Jones - They're divided on this, one said he'll return to first year form, the other said he won't.
Offensive Line - "Larry Allen, the best player on the OL, is gone, Flozell Adams is coming off of injury, Fabini is coming off of injury, Tucker is gone, Rivera might not be healed" - Basically saying that our tackle and guard position sucks...
Prediction for '06
"If the OL can stay intact, the Cowboys will be the class of the NFC East..."
Draft Options
Kiper says we'll take Jason Allen, but Manny Lawson is another possible pick. He says we'll address OL and WR in the second day...
so basically, they said the same thing that's been said about the Cowboys, except they seemed to be ragging on our OL much more than usual

its really incomplete and i dont believe what mel "the alien" kiper has to say about the draft, i dont like what he preaches.
1. it misses half of our signings and losses.
2. bledsoes not durable? i dont remember him missing all to many games, isnt he on his 64th straight game?
3. O-line is improved if kosier and fabini are as good as i think, and riviera and flo are back from injury. still shaky here though.

IMO, alot of the stuff they're ragging us on are just looking at the negatives. With the Redskins at the start of the season, they were also talking about the positives of the Redskins...
With the Cowboys, they refused to acknowledge that we got a good LB in Ayodele and a new offensive coordinator who has already worked with Bledsoe.
They preferred to call the Rivera and Flozell a year off of injury a negative instead of a positive...

Tucker's on the roster: ESPN evaluation is "They have poor talent at tackle like Torrin Tucker."
Tucker leaves via free agency: ESPN evaluation is "They lost valuable starter Torrin Tucker."
In many cases they have to fill a quota of time/analysis on teams. It doesn't mean that it has much value. I can't tell you how much sleep I lose at night wondering if Terrell Owens will yell at Mike Vanderjagt.

I am trying to figure out how they figure that Bledsoe isnt durable. Bledsoe and Favre are the defination of durable and toughness.

Strange for me also, "durable" isn't the exact word, but they said that Bledsoe was a concern, because he's "susceptible to injury". Maybe all this understanding is happening because I wasn't clear.
I'll fix that, sorry.

So to recap in sportscenters opinion
Bad QB + bad OLine + Bad RB = "Cowboys will be the class of the NFC East"
SWEET!

And the weird thing about it is that 30 min. before, they said that the Redskins would "dominate the NFC East". IMO, they're just trying to please the audience..."The Houston Texans will dominate the AFC..":lmao2:

Bledsoe is one of the most durable QB's to ever play in the NFL...but I agree the offensive line has to play much better this season, especially since Drew isn't getting any younger. I don't understand how they can say LA was the best offensive lineman we had? He is too old and not close to being the player he once was. Flozell the hotel is the best lineman we have...we all know what happened when he got hurt last year.
I'm more concerned with Julius Jones and the running game than the oline though......not sure he will be able to stay healthy an entire season. It might be better to start MB3 at this point, he's a much better back IMO.

I was disappointed with Golic. From what I've seen of him from Mike & Mike in the Morning before going to school, he's seemed like a good analyst.
He had nothing good to say about the Cowboys...

the exeptions are Irvin, Ed Werder and in the past Chris Myers

Insert any other team in the league for "Cowboys" and you get what said teams fanbase feels.
Everyone thinks there is a bias against their team from ESPN.

no, ESPN just doesnt care about some teams and some fans take that as "bias"
they ARE biased against the Cowboys and have been for years, even when we were the class of the league in the early to mid 90's

Yes, because these professional anaylists who get paid a lot more than you or me to do their job really wake up every morning and think to themselves "I think I'll bash Dallas today".

no, because those analysts that get paid alot of money dont hide the fact that if they dont like somebody or a certain team, they WILL spin things or exaggerate some stories to support their view...the fact is some of these media guys DONT LIKE THE COWBOYS...I've met a couple of them and had discussions with them, and they dont hide it

My mother used to say the same thing about the media during the Cowboys' dynasty.
I was 5 when the Cowboys won their last super bowl, so I cared more about Animal Crackers than I did the Cowboys, but my mom used to tell me, and she still does, that when it was just Cowboys and 49ers, the media would lean towards the 49ers...

and she would be correct...it was sickening with the almost nightly Niner love fest

Bledsoe susceptible to injury? Seems to me the only year he's missed significant time was when he had pretty bad internal bleeding or whatever from that nasty hit up in New England. I wouldn't say that made him injury-prone. The toughest guy in the league would have gone down for a while from that hit.

I heard all of this and the one who was kinda biased against the Cowboys was Mike Golic. Of course the Ex-Eagle is going to crap all over the Cowboys.
I don't think losing Larry Allen is going to hurt the Cowboys as much as people think. He was losing a step and Kyle Kosier comes in a little younger and hungry to become a better player. No matter what anyone says about Fabinin he is still an upgrade over Petitti at this time in their respective careers.
They also had Jerry on with Ed Werder. Can't beleive he admitted to being 'desperate'.
By the way. You can check out the audio of all this at my site. Not trying to spam the board, but there is about 10 minutes worth of stuff.
And if we kept him it would have been "Dallas still has Larry Allen a serviceable guard, but on a definite decline in his career."

In fairness I think Salisbury has always given us a fair shake.
Not sure if that helps considering he's a blithering moron, but there you go.

I don't know about that. I think that ESPN love the Pats and the Bengals.
