That was the funniest thing I've ever listened to on radio.

I tuned in on my lunch break right around when they were talking draft. Irvin and Sailsbury were yelling at the each other because Irvin thinks Vince Young is the most ready to play now out of the top 3 quarterbacks. When Salisbury tried to get him to explain his statement, Irvin was making no sense whatsoever. Was he high??

The draft segment I heard was Irvin and Salsbury arguing about Young/Leinart. Irvin said the Jets should pick Young because he would be more likely to help them win now since they don't have a lot of pieces around him. He said if the team had pieces around him that Leinart is more likely to help the team win.

It seems like Irvin made one of those very short sighted arguments. The Jets, if they aren't good right now, will be adding the players that would be needed around Leinart. You don't draft based on one year. I think thats a trap that many people fall into. You don't draft because we have a hole here this year, you draft the player that you rank as the best unless its at a singular position you have already filled.
