Basically what the title says.. in this draft, which of the top 40 guys plays with reckless abandon, intensity and a high motor? This extra bit of effort or fearlessness really tends to show up to make a difference in the NFL.

I would love to hear who people have seen or hear has a these traits coming into the draft and has displayed it on the college level.

If you call "running fast", reckless abandon, then OK.

Sure, some of them. Would you like to link the one you are referring to.
I've seen him play, the eyes don't lie.

I thought I heard last night that Wroten (the DT I believe) was a compared to A Warren Sapp type with a high motor that never stopped.

don't you think arguing with someone's opinion is a tad...retarded? no offense, but from the interview I read, he sounded pretty intense on the field, and the game I caught of him, he looked pretty wound up, take it or leave it

At any rate, Ernie Sims is the most intense player in the draft. If that's what you look for, he will provide it. Carpenter is a litte crazy as well, but Sims is Mr. Intensity.

Excerpts from PFW draft guide on Manny Lawson:

"Plays hard and can really run and close fast on the ball. Chases hard on the backside and shows excellent pursuit speed. Uses his hands well to sift his way through trash"

"Shows surprising strength at the point of attack. Has a great motor"

"Tough, smart"

I am hardly arguing. In fact, I was even willing to read the article you made mention of.

Here's what I'm trying to say, I have seen him play. He is a very good player with lots of talent. To me, he does not play with "reckless" abandon. He does run fast and fly all over the field, but Lawson is hardly the kind of guys that will blow up blockers and sacrifice his body to make a play.

I'll give him the high motor....reckless abondon....no. The origal poster wanted both
See............LB D. Johnson from last year.

I would say that Bunk is probably more intense then even Sims is but I don't know if this is only talking about LBs or what.

Bunkley is a steroid monster. That has quite a bit to do with it, I am sure.:D

I pretty much meant at any position, although LB and Dline would probably show up the most.. maybe some safeties or FB's because they both have "attack" roles at times.

I doesn't seem like there is a lot of room for "finesse" players to make a big impact at these positions, unless they have incredible quickness.

I guess you could use the old wall analogy.. who is going to try to run around it and who is going to try to run through it or over it.

I read something on Bunkley (can't find it now). It was from an NFL scout who said that Bunkley... and this isn't a quote but it's close... just beat up the guys across from him. The scout said that it had been years since he had seen someone beat up the guy across from him like he saw Bunkley do.

He said something about his intensity and toughness... so I'd think he'd make any list of intense players.

I don't know. Seems unatural to get so big so quickly, I grant you, but I don't know what the real deal is for sure. He is a high motor guy thou. No question about that. He was that way before he ever put on all the weight so I think, if anything, it's just more inhanced.

Dvoracek is another one. That guy is extremely intense.
