Goose says Manny Lawson is 251?! JJT is on now, they have just finished a interview with Jerry Jones.

JJT is suprised that JJ admitted that he was looking Defense.

Goose says an OLB that can pash rush makes everybody on D better and that Manny is the best at doing that in the draft.

Now he just said that Carpenter could be goen by the 18th pick. He is all over the place.

Goose is the best in the biz, when it comes to this stuff.... Its crazy how far off Kiper is, and how close Rick is when it all plays out!

JJ was talking earlier that getting T.O. gives the team enough "Juice" combined with Glenn, Witten and JJ to get the job done on O. Sounded like he would like to trade down and pick up an extra 3rd or 4th. Also JJ said that the DB class was very deep.

Goose is being very modest. Says he doesn't watch any game tape and credits his 88% accuracy rate on the first round mocks NFL of drafts by just talking to coaches, gms scouts and then forming an opinion.

Says Vince Yound can change the QB position if you are willing to wait 2-3 years. He would not drop to 18 as long as the Vikings are picking 17. We would have to trade up.

Jerry Jones said they're are about 3-4 players he would consider trading up for if they were to slip.

Goose on Holmes....

not big enough, didn't face top competition long enough. Best WR in the draft.

Now says 19 D players could go in the first round. Lineman, T,G will go more so in rounds 3-6. A better D will help you compete faster.

Matt Malone? think that's his name, says we need OL badly. Also says he keeps hearing Carpenter's name when he talks to Dallas scouts.

Goose now says he will not be surprised if we take an OL in the rounds 2 or 3.

Jon Scott is on now. He looks and talks like he's a big softie.

Seems really nice though.

Seems really nice though.

He disputes he lacks passion for the game...

He does seem like a nice kid...

Says he would love to play for Dallas, was a big Emmitt fan.

Goose, in front of Jon, says he will go in the 3rd round.

Jon looks bummed, playing it off. Says he can play RT and LT.

Goose Says if Lawson is there at 18 he is our pick. He is 6'5 251. Some teams feel he can bulk up and play at DE.

He thinks the teams 16-20 will have a tough time moving down. It is flat in that area talent-wise. The teams at 21-22 can move down.

Interesting that Goose says Manny is up to 251 on his visits.

241 at combine. 238 at Pro Day. Read earlier today he was down to 233.

Mis-information galore.

KD

That is pretty huge is true. I thought he was closer to 230-235 and "bulked" up to 241.

If he's 251 I'm sure he could be 255-265 by the time TC rolls around.

So our seemingly most likely 1st rounder has a 18 pound weight window that he could be anywhere within... gotta love the draft week crazy speculation.

That is a pretty wide spread 233-251. Now for a big tackle or guard to do 18 lbs is one thing- for a much smaller person that is a huge spread. I recall that Lawson supposedly weighed 233 at his pro day after being 241 at the combine. According to NFL.com Lawson weighed 238 on his pro day March 22.

Unless Manny stepped on the scale for some other reason I do not see him being weighed for anything other then maybe for an interview with a team.
I don't see him losing weight since that would be a turnoff for a lot of teams.

Manny is working out with one of those training complexes for players, so I'm sure they have him trying to get bigger to raise his draft value as much as possible. Reports that he was 233 could be some teams putting out false rumors to try and drop his stock. This is Rick Gosselins time to shine , the guy is money at this time of year and gets good info from his talks with GMs, scouts, and coaches.

I read an interview with Manny a month or so back where Manny said his weight got as high as 247 this year during the season. If i have time later i will try and dig it up and post it.

I guess its possible Manny decided to come into the combine/pro day workouts lighter to have as much speed and quickness as possible in the drills. I think he would have been better off showing he could bulk up though to get interest from the 4-3 teams.

Easy on Kiper. Predicting picks or making a mock isn't his specility.
