Fasano:
I arrive tomorrow morning for rookie camp.
I was a lifelong Giant fan until Sunday. It was easy to change teams. I don't need a paycheck to do that.
Most of my family has told me they will now be Cowboy fans 14 weeks a year.
It is a great opportunity to play for Coach Parcells. Coach Weis told me "You're not really changing coaches, you are just getting an older me"...
I thought their was a chance that Dallas would take me. They had talked to me about going to a two TE set. When it got down to about 3 minutes I didn't think they were taking me.
I haven't gotten to talk to Jason yet. I am looking forward to learning from him. I have seen him play a few times.

That's just plain wrong. If you're a "lifelong" Giants fan, you should remain one till the day you die. Employers come and go; favorite teams are forever. No doubt he felt compelled to say that to get on the right side of Dallas fans.

Tell me Weis wouldn't be the perfect transition for Parcells? :D

Actually I like his offensive mindset better than Parcells. If only he would leave ND.

Did anyone else catch Fasano's highlight video on DC.com? After every catch the guy got drilled. I hope he dishes out more punishment then he takes in the NFL, otherwise he'll be on "Jacked Up" every week.

Please bb.

If my son ends up playing football in the NFL, and heaven forbid he became a Redskin, I would end up being a Redskin fan for him, just like if by some hideous twist of fate, he became a Vancouver Canuck, I would have to cheer for him even though I'm a lifelong Montreal Canadiens' fan and I hate the Cannots.

I agree with you 100%, have to go with your own blood in that situation, wouldn't think twice (while he is with the team that is :D)

I thought the same thing. He may be the second coming of Ed McCaffrey.

Hopefully Weis told Fasano he would join him in a few years.

not to bring up Brett Farve...ugh....but, Brett Farve was a lifelong Cowboys fan until he started playing for Green Bay, and I remember him laughing and saying, "Now I hate the Cowboys".

Uh.... so if the Dallas Cowboys drafted you in the 2nd round...
and agreed to pay you bundles and bundles of money to play catch...
yu wouldn't instantly become a fan?

Ummm, actually PLAYING for another team gives one the right to change, I think.

AMEN. Preach it, brother. And I agree with your comment about his offensive mind set. Weis calls a great game.
