Ferguson cut? You can't be serious. Ferguson did fine last year and was coming off an injury.
A Ferguson - Stanley rotation...now that I can see.
Ferguson costs too much to be cut. He wasn't great last year, but gets a bum rap around here.
Singleton will be cut before he is traded. I don't expect anyone to trade for an aging LB.

For people that have trouble reading that (like I did).

T - Fabini, Adams, Petitti, Columbo
G - Rivera, Kosier, Gurode, McQuistan (yes, McQuistan is another camp surprise and unseats Peterman)
C - Al Johnson, Cory Proctor; DE - Canty, Spears, Ellis, Hatcher, (Coleman is cut)

SS - Williams, Beriault
FS - Watkins, Davis, Coleman
K - Vanderjagt
P - McBriar
LS - Ladoceur. Now for the critique. Sam Hurd? Crayton? Where's that scratching head icon.
Singleton traded? For what? Some pocket lint? Why would you trade solid talent? Bill stocks linebackers like I stock unmatched socks in my sock drawer.
Gurode is backing up RG and C just like he did last year. Kosier starts and Peterman backs him up.

I disagree about Crayton. Had was on pace for an excellent season before his injury and he has PLENTY of talent to stay on this team, no matter how he reacts to the injury. Copper has not shown near as much as Crayton and never will.

And there is no way we cut Ferguson, especially after what we gave him in signing bonus just last year.

I would only add that perhaps Jamaica Rector could be that last WR if he catches the ball as well as he works out.

They didn't have him at it in MC but apparently BP has been working him at center since the season ended. I'm not sure if they think they can make anything out of it, but they're slowly making it a possibility.

I know all about it, I wrote that one :)
Mickey added a quick shot into the article that they've been working on it this off-season and the staff hopes they'll get time in for them in training camp. But they never snapped in mini camp. Maybe they're working on it in the OTAs.

I agree with most of your list, but 9 DL in a base 3-4 defense seems a little high. I know the plan is to run both 3-4 and 4-3 to confuse the offense, but 8 DL would back up every position in a 4-3. The extra roster spot could be used for another RB. Three RB's may be a little thin given Jones injury history.

With how keen BP is on keeping this thick rotation at DL, nine linemen would essentially give him three different lines to throw at offenses. Given the youth of the team in that area, I'm sure he wants all the back-up he can get at the position. After all, that's where it all starts in the 3-4.
He could go 8 if he wanted, but adding guys for contingency reasons instead of guys you can actually use (Peerless Price anyone?) is rarely a good idea.

In the depth chart Crayton will be above Green, and hopefully Watkins will learn the system in time to start over Davis.....that may be a stretch thoug. Otherwise looks good. Although I wouldnt mind seeing Mroz make the team.....
i'm not a henson supporter and he's been given too long to prove himself.

You left out Rocky Boiman at LB. I would replace DE Coleman for LB Boiman. I see Crayton as #3 and Green as #4 WR. That #5 WR seems wide open, so Merritt has a shot like everyone else.

Mine is very similar to Parchy's: Offense, exactly the same. On D, I have Coleman gone and an extra linebacker, Boiman. I also have (going out on a limb) Beriault starting at FS and Davis backing up at SS. And I have Marcus Coleman getting cut, with Nate Jones being the 5th CB.

I didn't arrange the names on there in order of how it'll look on the depth chart (Montavious will obviously not be in front of J-Ferg), but I agree that the order will be Crayton, Green and then whomever for #5. As long as we all agree that Copper has all but lost his spot.
I gave the nod to Coleman over Boiman because he's a veteran and there aren't very many vets who are familiar with BP's scheme on the d-line anymore. I think he values that leadership, and while Boiman has experience, there is plenty of it to go around at LB. Of course it could go either way, but thats the way I see it.

Bill will go with 2 QBs and use Crayton/Green as the emergency QB on gameday... after realizing Henson is just taking up a roster spot he could use on his beloved front 7!!!
If Drew and Romo get hurt ina game does anyone think HENSON can win a game!?!?! If Drew and Romo get hurt long term he knows he has VINNY is a phone call and a babysitter away!!!

We hear so much about how much BP loves his special teams players, but he loves his vets and familiars more. The Special Teams will be fine without Boiman, it's just a question of whether or not he steps up in TC.

here's mine:
QB (3) Bledsoe, Henson & Romo...have no clue about Mroz, but I cant imagine anyone on here really does either...he wasnt even rated in most draft guides (PFW had 41 QB's rated, he wasnt one of them) so I highly doubt he is making the roster...Mroz goes to PS if he shows anything
RB (4) Jones, Barber, Thompson +1...have no idea who the 4th will be, but it might be somebody not on the roster now...really dont think it will be knucklehead Summers...Thompsons main value is a kick returner, if Green, Merritt or Rector return well and Kincade shows well Thompson might end up the 4th RB or off the roster entirely
TE (4) Witten, Fasano, Ryan & Hannam
WR (5) Owens, Glenn, Crayton, Green & Merritt...if Green is really good on returns, Rector probably doesnt make it...if Green struggles maybe it opens door more for Rector if he shines on ST
OL (9) Adams, Kosier, Gurode, Rivera, Petitti, Fabini, Johnson, Peterman, Columbo...really wont be surprised if Columbo doesnt make it, if Mcquistan develops quickly he might beat him out, otherwise he goes to PS
DL (7) Spears, Canty, Ellis, Hatcher, Ratliff, Ferguson, Stanley
LB (9) Ware, Carpenter, Ayodele, James, Boiman, Singleton, Fowler, Burnett & Shanle...Burnett might go on PUP if not ready, opening door for someone else...Parham seems to be everyones hero on here, but the kid is slow as mollasses and will probably lost in NFL pass coverages...I dont like Shanle much but he probably sticks around another yr unless Saldi, Parham or Hoyte really open eyes...all 3 look more like PS material to me
CB (5) Newman, Henry, Glenn, Reeves, Coleman (Coleman would have to be good enough to be active every week, else he isnt worth keeping over a younger developmental guy)
S (4) R Williams, Warkins, Davis, Beriault
K/P (2) Vanderjagt & McBriar
there is one spot left, if Vanderjact kicks off well it would probably be a 10th OL or an 8th DL...if not the 53rd spot will be a kickoff guy

Boiman got a $1 mill. signing bonus. That usually guarantees a roster spot.

My 2 cents:
QB: Bledsoe, Romo, Henson
RB: Jones, Barber, Thompson
TE: Witten, Fasano, Hannam, Pierce (also a L/S)
WR: Adams, Pettiti, Colombo, Fabini, Johnson, Gurode, Kosier, Riveria, Peterman & Proctor
WR: TO, Glenn, Crayton, /Copper/Merrit/Rector) fight it out for #4 & Green is #5.
Offense: 25
DL: Spears, Ratliff, Hatcher, Ferguson, Johnson, Stanley, Canty, Ellis
LB: Ware, Ayodele, James, Carpenter, Burnett, Boiman, Fower, Singleton
SS: Williams, Beriault
FS: Davis, Watkins
CB: Newman, Henry, Glenn, Reeves, Coleman
Defense: 25
ST: Vanderjagt, McBriar, LaCouverre (sp?). If kickoff specialist needed in place of Vanderjagt, Parcells will cut LaCouverre (will use Pierce in dual role of TE/LS) & use that that slot for a kicker. Unless Peterman/Proctor step up as LS.
ST: 3
Total: 53 players
neither As you see, DE Coleman won't make team nor will Parham. Parham's too slow and Fowler really coming on last half of season.
Players not making team: DE Coleman, LB Shanle & CB Jones although if vet FS Coleman doesn't show enough, he could be gone and we keep CB Nat Jones or another CB who can beat out Jones/Coleman.
Only question I have is which vet gets cut if one of the players not listed above stands out in TC/preseason games and Parcells has to make a choice. Parcells has shown in the past he will cut a vet if he's got a younger player who shows real talent w/upside.
PS: Merritt, Rector, Hurd, Hoyte, Morz, McQuinist (sp?), one of the undrafted CBs & an OL.
BTW: Copper, Merritt, Rector, Hurd & Austin looked good in vet minicamp and Tolliver make best catch in the minicamp but he is a bit slow. I think #4 WR must be more of an offensive weapon then in the past in case TO and/or T.Glenn get hurt (particularly at same time. In other words we need a viable #4 WR just in case.
