Can I just say Yuck!

I wasn't overly inspired to watch the movie, but I figured it was something to do. And I do have a thing for Jamie Foxx.

The storyline was disjointed. Me and my friend sat there the whole time wondering what they were talking about. The action scenes would come out of nowhere (going for the shock effect, I guess). But then they were just too unreal to unbelievable.

It was just a bad, bad movie...and I'm so mad.

It's movies like this one is why I'm not a strong movie person. I'd rather wait until it came on regular TV before I pay to go see them.

It can't be any worse than The Dukes of Hazzard :puke:

I liked it, a bit confusing but the action scenes were very well done.

You want to see terrible, see Lady in the Water. There was only about 20 people there and half walked out.

Action scenes were ok. But I didn't think there were enuff of them.

Was talking to a friend and I think my problem is I was expecting something closer to Bad Boys, either version. Not so much the storyline, but more action and something a little lighter. Vice seemed very dark to me.

Have you seen "Heat?"

Michael Mann did that too, and I was hoping "Miami Vice" would resemble it.

Heat is a great movie.

I'll probably go watch Miami Vice later this week (if I get all my work done).

saw You, me and depree. Not good, and I'm an easy movie critic, i like about 85-90% of the movies i see, so that should tell you something.

But there were some really funny scenes. I took my daughter and her frined, both 13, there was a scene that involved masturbation (they didnt show it but it was obvious from the scene and the lines) and my daughters friend kept yelling "i dont get it, what was he doing" i was laughing so hard trying to get her to be quiet, but she just kept asking and everyone in the theatre was busting up.

I take it this was another unbreakable for M.Night.

I like some of his movies but Unbreakable was unbearable.

That was the one movie of his that I thought was really stupid and the whole twist thing is getting out of hand.

Yes that is the only one I have seen that I just did not care for.

The others were not as great as The Sixth Sense but at least they kept me interested.

I agree on Lady. I really like M. Night, but that was just a bad movie...

I liked it!
Way grittier than the tv show.

Mann is very artsy with his combat stuff but it was cool for me.

He uses real bullets and actually shoots up the cars and all that for real effect.
The story was pretty raw and told quickly with lots of space left to think for yourself.

Certainly not the eye candy movie I expected at first.

There will be a 2 and 3 and they'll likely suck!

Lady in the Water was ok, much better than the Village, but that's not saying much.

Why aren't you guys going to Clerks 2?

I liked it as well.

It was something different and even though the pace was slow at least there was some good acting in it.
