This just in on T.O.

Just got off the phone with beat man Todd Archer in Oxnard. He reports Terrell Owens is not practicing this morning. Owens, who has a sore left hamstring, did not practice Thursday.

You can't make the team from the tub.

TO better get it together if he wants to win a roster spot.

Reports are that it's drizzling in Oxnard... Wet fields aren't the best things for hamstring tweaks. That might have something to do with it, because no one thinks it's anything serious.

It's serious to me because Bill doesn't like people who can't practice.

Are you thinking he might get cut?

I for one am glad he's taking a couple of days off. There's still the scrimmage tomorrow, a lot more practice over the next couple of weeks, and 4 preseason games where he can work on his timing with Bledsoe and all that good stuff. Meanwhile, each practice he misses is one where he can't get seriously hurt, and that's just fine in my book.

I agree. After that incident he and Bledsoe need some time off to get things going again. And theres no way Jerry would let bill cut TO, LOL.

Didn't he pull this stunt with the Eagles last year?

Vets always like to miss camp. Big deal.

Its all good........he is our best superstar player on offence....let him rest....one thing about TO is......he is in always good shape and works hard.....the timing will get settled in due time with Bledsoe

One thing we dont want is this little hammy problem getting bigger when the real games count.

TO is a vet and knows when to shut it down.....he wants to be 100% during the season

T.O. misses practice again due to hamstring

NFL.com wire reports

OXNARD, Calif. (Aug. 4, 2006) -- Dallas Cowboys (http://www.nfl.com/teams/news/DAL) receiver Terrell Owens (http://www.nfl.com/players/playerpage/1290) missed his second practice because of a sore left hamstring.

Owens, who said he first felt a twinge Aug. 2 (http://www.nfl.com/teams/story/DAL/9584565), instead rode an exercise bike at the morning practice. He said Aug. 3 he wasn't sure whether he'd be ready for Aug. 5's controlled scrimmage.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said he's not concerned, and there are no plans for medical tests.

D&E show said it's very sloppy, wet, and cold so him not going today is a good thing.

Has he always had problems with Hamstrings?

He said never. It's been the groin with him.

He said never. It's been the groin with him.

You are correct. This is from his book (chapter 12):

I was lying on a table, getting treatment for what my doctor, Hank Sloan, diagnosed as pubalgia, which is technically osteitis pubis. Unfortunately, I am all too familiar with the medical terms. It's an inflammation of the tendons and muscles that attach the groin muscle to the pubic bone. It can be chronic, and flares up when I'm overworked. The problem is that because I condition myself year-round and hardcore, when coaches start training camp and try to get everyone into shape through two-a-day practices, I'm alreaady in condition and can too easily aggravate my groin. I had a rough case of this over the years when I was with the 49ers.

He goes on and on to talk about the treatment and such. So far this year, it's only the hamstring and he'll be just fine. I'm not too concerned about it. Hopefully his groin stays fine.

He said never. It's been the groin with him.

Yeah thats what I heard too...

I have to admit I am more concerned with his potential injuries(groin, hamstring) than I am with him destroying the team.

He is more suceptible... keeping my fingers crossed.

You know there really wasn't an 'incident,' right? This was tongue-in-cheek?
