Which of these Cowboys will be inducted to the Hall of Fame someday? Just respond by putting yes or no by each player's number.

1. Micheal Irvin
2. Charles Haley
3. Jay Novacek
4. Moose Johnston
5. Darren Woodson
6. Larry Allen

If I forgot some potential Hall of Famers, let me know. I obviously didn't include Emmitt because he's a no brainer.

Irvin, Haley, and LA.

I'd love to see the other 3 in there, but don't think it will happen.

It's time for some of our past stars to join Rayfield in getting the recognition they so richly deserve.

Yeah, I really want to see Harvey Martin in the Hall.

Yeah, I really want to see Harvey Martin in the Hall.In 1977 he had 23 sacks. That was before sacks was a tracked stat by the NFL. By the way, that was in 14 games instead of 16. It's pretty hard for me to recognize Strahan as the single season record holder.

I know. It's crazy that he isn't in yet! He definitly deserves it. 23 Sacks! In 14 games! That's unheard of! This guy was an animal.

Bob Hayes changed the game. If it weren't for the fact he battled drug problems he'd have been in long ago. The Cowboys bias doesn't help.

Bob Hayes is the only man in the world to have a gold medal and a super bowl medal.

Be real interesting to see what team he goes in on. 5 years in Atl. 1 in SF. 5 in Dallas 4 in Wash. 2 in Balt.

I know, although I think he only played one year for the skins. He retired and later came back with the ravens. I think he goes in as either a falcon or a cowboy.

I think Deion would go in as a Cowboy since he won a Super Bowl with them. Yeah, he did win one with the 49ers, but he played for the Cowboys longer. He didn't win anything with the Falcons, Redskins, and Ravens.

Haley may not but deserves it. Even with the triplets, without him we don't win 3 SBs. His back goes out in '96 and we come up short with no pass rush that season.

Moose won't make it but if only the HOF would judge him on his blocking. He would be a shoo in.

Novacek is like Haley. If we had him I think we win a 4th SB in '90s. It was '96 with Jay out from a bad back and Bjornson dropping two TDs vs. Panthers in 2nd rd of playoffs.

Did you catch the Reggie White fact that he had 21 sacks in 12 games one year?

Amazing.

I was on the bubble with Jay but he was selected to 5 consecutive Pro Bowls from 1991-95 so you never know.

Reggies strength was legendary. He had great burst and quickness for his size but what really set him apart was that power move he hit Larry with. If he caught you leaning, even a little bit, it was over.

LA, maybe Haley.

Folks, these are the BEST players ever. A tiny tiny percentage of the guys who played in the league. Great players like those on the list are not the sort of ELITE players who are honored.

Bob Hayes
Cliff Harris
Harvey Martin
Lee Roy Jordan
Chuck Howley
Drew Pearson

so much injustice for the 70's Cowboys.
I was so happy to see Rayfield Wright getting in and how he stood up for Bob Hayes and Harvey Martin. He made a great speach today.

then we need to fight for

Haley
Moose (best fullback of the era)
Novacek (best tight end of the era - the haters will question his blocking)
Woody

But Big E absolutely owned him. The only man i ever saw shut RW down on a consistant basis. So much so it got to the point Big E actually beat the guy up and punished him.

Sadly, I think only Allen gets in. And even worse, he may be a tough go at it given the position he played (people forget about great centers and guards once they retire).

Irvin should definitely be in and Haley as well. But both were considered "bad apples" and they were Cowboys...so they'll probably be screwed.

I'd actually vote for Moose just because he was the definitive blocking fullback of his era. I've always believed the Dallas O-Line of the 90's was a bit overrated and the play of Moose is wildly overlooked.

Even still, Harvey Martin, Lee Roy Jordan, Bob Hayes, and Chuck Howley should be getting in way before we start mentoinng Irvin, Haley, and Moose.

3. Jay Novacek-out
4. Moose Johnston-out
5. Darren Woodson-out
6. Larry Allen-in

the key thing for HOFamers is multiple Pro Bowls, at least 6, well at least from what I have seen, as well as a name in the record books, at least top 20 all-time in a statistical category, or categories, so that puts Irvin, Haley, and LA in, the rest out

Irvin & Larry Allen is all - Haley will not get in b/c he did not put up prolific Stats ala say Mike Strahan - Haley was a money ballplayer...

Novacek -No b/c he too did not light up the Stat books - though he was big game and money

Erik Williams too many problems

Nate Newton was the best pulling guard the game has seen in some 20 years but I'm not sure he gets in....

Darren Woodson -No - did not have that Ronnie Lott mystique - and was a suspect cover guy

Nate Newton has a decent chance of getting in as an old-timer.

Erik Williams doesn't get in. Woodson probably doesn't get in either.

Deion Sanders is a lock.

Jerry Jones is a lock - he's made and continues to make major contributions to the league.

how many times does it need to be explained that the worst guys in the hall don't set the bar?

yes, some guys haven't deserved it -- should that open the floodgates for other undeserving players?
