FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (Aug. 8, 2006) -- Arizona wide receiver Anquan Boldin sat out practice with a sore hamstring for the second day in a row and might not play in the Aug. 12 preseason opener against Pittsburgh.

Defensive tackle Kendrick Clancy also missed practice, with a sore groin.

"We don't know about either one of them," Arizona coach Dennis Green said of their prospects for playing against the Steelers. "We'll probably know tomorrow, or Thursday at least. Obviously if there's any leftover injuries, we'd hold them out. We've got a lot of guys out there who want to play and show what they can do."

Injury-plagued defensive tackle Kenny King will have surgery to remove a metal plate from his right wrist and will be out for about eight weeks, Green said. King missed the last two seasons after twice breaking the wrist. King broke his right hand in workouts last week, an injury that was unrelated to his wrist problems.

But doctors decided to remove the plate rather than wait until the end of the season, as had been previously planned. While King was optimistic about his return, Green hinted the former Alabama player might not figure in the Cardinals' plans.

"He's been here three years, he's had two weeks of work," Green said.

Starting offensive tackle Oliver Ross will be out three to five weeks after undergoing knee surgery on Aug. 7. Green was relieved that Ross didn't require more serious surgery that would have sidelined him for up to 10 weeks.

Ross tore a meniscus in his right knee last week.

Coach Green is Boldin faking this injury? Is this like a dark cloud hanging over your team? Do you feel he is a problem at this stage?

Any truth to the rumor Boldin is having his people fly in a hyperbaric chamber?

Its obvious to me that by Green not saying he isn't mad at Bolding then he obviously IS mad at Boldin. The Cards are tumbling down!

Skip Bayless heard Dennis Green refer to Boldin as "that player." Bayless subsequently predicted the folding of the entire Cardinals' franchise, because the relationship between Green and Boldin is obviously "strained." It's only a matter of time before Green blows a gasket.

"We don't know about either one of them," Arizona coach Dennis Green said.

Cue the media --

"Why don't you know? Do you not want to know? Are you out of the loop? Are you mad at the players? Haven't you talked to the players about it? When will you know? Is it a problem that you don't know? When does it become a problem that you don't know? Who will you ask when you want to know? What if they don't know? Who will know who knows? Who will you tell when you know? Do the trainers know? If so, why haven't they told you what they know? If not, why don't they know? When will they know? Who decides when they know? Who decides who knows? When do they decide it? Who will they tell when they know? Is it on a need-to-know basis? Who needs to know? Who decides who needs to know? What if they don't know? Do you need to know? When do you need to know? And why don't you know? Do you not want to know? Are you out of the loop? Are you mad at the players? And do the players remind you of anyone you've coached before? ..."

Post of the day, I wanted to kick the TV after Skip said that today.
