Just received my copy. A few things I've just noticed. These may have been discussed before, but I didn't see it.

Kyle Kosier:
1. 2nd in the league in "Success %"
2. Tied for 1st in "Pushed into backfield"
3. Tied for 1st in "Allowed backfield penetration"
4. Tied for 6th in "Defeated Blocks"
5. Tied for 12th in "Gap Stuffs"
6. Tied for 13th in "Yards per Attempt"
7. Tied for 9th in "SYPA" (the "overall" metric for run blocking)

Hope he can duplicate these results.

Gurode (at center):
1. 1st in the league in "Yards Per Attempt"
2. 11th in "Success %"
3. 1st in "SYPA"
4. Tied for 1st in "Defeated Blocks"

Now those mean that as regards things like GAP STUFFS that meant that he got the job done and was not stuffed? And that he allowed the fewest backfield penetrations?

And that he allowed the fewest backfield penetrations?A gap stuff is when the defensive player plugs up the gap that the ballcarrier was aiming for (when a hole doesn't develop). Backfield penetration is when the defensive player gets by him.

In both of these metrics, Gurode has an advantage as he only had 37 attempts.

Kosiers numbers suck. Gurode numbers looks good. Funny he did not look that good playing.

The fact that Kosier was #1 in several of the areas- is that a good thing or a bad thing?

On a different note. Roy Williams doesn't fare well at all...even in run stopping numbers.

TNew consistently ranks in the top 10-15 corners.

That is encouraging. I guess the scouts knew what they were doing. I hope he can improve on those numbers and stay healthy.
