Mickey Spagnola was on the Red Zone with Darryl Johnston this afternoon. I was in the car so couldn't take notes, so this is heavily paraphrased. None of it is earth-shattering, but I figured I'd pass it along.
-Said everyone seemed impressed by Romo. He said Romo seemed to have gotten rid of the tendancy to just fling it when he was pressured. He said Romo seems to have progressed quite a bit since last preseason, which was the last time anyone saw him play much.
-He said he wouldn't be surprised to see TO back on the practice field today (turns out that happened) since the game is nationally televised. He said the national attention will be what motivates TO.
-He said Parcells seems really irritated about the kicking situation, with Vandy not only not having a good preseason, but not practicing much if at all this week.
-Darryl Johnston seems to think Philly will win the division this season, but Mickey disagreed. He said their defense isn't what it was a couple of seasons ago, and their receivers will probably hold them back. Spags, Johnston, and the host (can't remember who it was) said, however, that if it comes down to QB play, Philly will win.
