So what is up with NFL Network saying it is broadcasting games in HD? Even the listings in the guide is saying HD but the picture is not.
Hopefully they catch up with every other network.

In order to receive an HD broadcast you must have 1.)an HD TV set and you must have 2.)a station provider(Directv, Dish, FIOS or your cable company) which actually broadcasts it in HD. Additionally 3.)You must subscribe the the HD package at an additional cost and have an HD box from your station provider.
Hope this helps although its probably not the news you were looking for.

I got all that I was complimenting on the fact that NFL Network games are saying HD and are not.

DirecTV does not currently broadcast NFL Network in HD. The only time it is in HD is when they are showing the game of the week which is usually on channel 95. Other than that, channel 212 is always in SD.

I wonder what they will do when 212 shows the live regular season games?

I think that the HD broadcast will be shown on 95 as it is for the GOTW.

I noticed this too.
The Cardinals-Pats game was crappy. Certainly not HD.
I had to leave for a banquet so I really didn't care.
But I assume that there would be another channel that NFL used/will use to broadcast the HD games.

If you want to see NFL Network in HD tune to channel 95.
Thats where they have their HD feed.
They don't show many games yet,but I've seen a taped delayed game there(Tampa vs NYJets).
