Mick:

I'm assuming TO will not practice today. He said he is better and improved over the weekend. I would imagine he will for sure be back by Labor Day.
Yes, it was a preseason game, but I thought that Dallas went out and did to a bad team what you should do, beat them pretty severely.
The offense should have scored on every drive in the first half.
I think Skylar is on the bubble right now. It may come down to whether or not Crayton and TO are healthy. If not it will probably cost a young player a spot as they will likely bring in a vet. He did make the mistake of catching the ball the other night when he shouldn't have.
The OL looks solidy locked in. McQuistan was pretty much put on the team by Parcells today. The reason was because he didn't play a lot of football. He was a baseball pitcher, and a finesse one at that. Petitti is going to make this team as the swing guy.
They showed they could run the ball this week. That is something to take from the game. It was key as they haven't run too well so far, but NO kinda mucked it up by playing an 8 man front in the game. Julius ran well as did MB3. Thompson also made some things happen in the second half.
Vandy, obviously didn't kick. He said he should be ready to go Thursday for both FG's and KO's. He said he has had this problem before and will be fine. He said the reason he didn't KO in Indy because the president (Polian) didn't want him too. If he can KO then it will change the persoannel decisions a bit.

Great news!!!!Yes, that could allow us to elevate someone like Hoyte to the final roster.

Yes, but I am hopin' it means Bill can keep both Petitti AND Fabini.

yes, Fabini, Hoyte, M Coleman, Pile, and Stanley would all be better in my opinion than a KO guy..

maybe..

I go back and forth.. part of me thinks that having someone who will kick it into the endzone most of the time and possibly save us 5 yards on every position after a kickoff will be more valuable than a Hoyte or a Fabini.. I'm torn.. Honestly, I have been against a KO guy the whole time, but now I wouldn't be heartbroken if we had one because we are saving a roster spot by only carrying 2 QBs.. and Suishan might be pretty good insurance to have in case Vandy's groin starts flaring up again..

so either way, I am happy.. and either way, I might be a little irritated.. haha..

Only ones who were terrible at both baseball and football ;)

I just don't see how this guy can go all of TC and not kick off and be injured for 2 weeks, then kick off in a game and expect to be ready. I guess we will see..... I hope he can do it but I have my doubts.

Well, the two positions up for discussion should be OL and WR if we can cut a KO man. Don't know if I would rather keep Green/Copper or Fabini/Pettiti. It will probably come down to the health of our WRs.

They will keep Baker or pick up some other young QB on the practice squad to run the scout team.

Does anyone see Glymph making the team? I thought he has played very well so far.

We won't cut Pettiti. If we do cut a OL it will be Fabini.

Also if Cowboys attempt put Hoyte on PS, he will be claimed by at least the Pats. Hoyte has already been cited in Boston media article as a player of interest to the Pats; same article which mentioned NE no longer interested in Shanle (this was before our trading Shanle to NO). The decision will come down to either Fowler or Hoyte unless Parcells wants both and elects to cut Fabini instead.

On other hand, he could decide cut Suisham who hopefully gets thru waivers and we sign to PS. If Vanderjagt can't handle KOs now, or down the road, we activate Suisham (will have to cut somebody else but injuries could effect need to do so) onto the roster and use him instead of Vanderjagt to kick off.

He did make the mistake of catching the ball the other night when he shouldn't have.If you are making the decision based upon merit alone, Skylar would be cut. But that really is only part of the equation as you have to factor potential into it as well. Marion Barber looked terrible in camp and the pre-season last year. I know that some people wanted to put him out on the street too. But the kid matured a great deal during the season and it's safe to say most here would trust him as the starting RB if Julius went down.

I am curious to see what Bill does. My guess is that it's Owens, Glenn, Crayton, Green and whichever receiver, Hurd, Rector or Copper, plays best on special teams. Right now I'd lean toward Rector, with Hurd on the practice squad.

Kincade.Kincade is no longer eligible for the practice squad. This was his last shot to make the final 53. I think his run is done in Dallas. He may be able to catch on as a #3 back somewhere.

It is great yet upseting that some players I really like are starting to be either Practice Squad players or Released. Not like the good old days before BP got here. Staley I think will be taken from us if he is put on the practice squad.
