Not much this morning guys...

Mick:

TO was back on the field at the second practice. It is just kind of a walk-thru today, so I don't see him playing Thursday with just one practice.
It will be interesting to see how TO looks when he gets back. Peter King said when he watched TO a month ago he had trouble separating from the CB. Well, consider he was going against Henry and mostly Newman. Newman blankets everyone. You could see his juices flowing to go against TO.
Dallas is being cautious with Flo. If this was a real game, he would likely play. I wrote in the offseason that Flo was the most indispensible player on this team. It is the most important postion on the offense, especially when Bledsoe is at QB. Flo is a guy that needs to be out there playing. He is using the cords which is a good sign. He was getting more confidence in his knee going into the Saints game.
Dallas only undefeated preseason is 5-0 in 1971, and 6-0 some time earlier than that.

Didn't Dallas go 4-0 in 1989, Jimmy Johnson's and Troy Aikman's first year with the Cowboys?

Glad to hear from Mick that Adams using the cords. We all know that means, as it did in TO's case, that returning to practice is close but Adams certainly won't play Thursday evening. I still am concerned about Adams and sure hope we have good backup plans should he not play or misses a few games this season.

I still think pre season is a bunch of huey, and missing it is not that big a deal, remember when Emmitt was a rookie, he held din't play still first game, he rushed for over a hundred, real studs are better rusty that duds in great shape. The Cowboys will roll!!!!!

First, there's a difference between a running back and a receiver. Running backs don't have as much problem with timing as receivers.

Second, I don't think Emmitt Smith gained over 100 yards in his first game. He played, but he didn't start the game. I tried to find stats to back up my recollection but couldn't. But if memory serves me correctly, he didn't rush for 100 yards.

Right now Newman is probably better at his position than TO is at his. I think a realist argument could be made for Newman being the best coverage corner in the NFL.

And Henry? Probably in the top 15.

Even Glenn could probably start for a dozen teams.

I don't see too many WR's... and I don't care who their are-- burning this secondary too often.

It boils down to pressure from the front seven again. If we don't get opposing QBs to make bad throws it won't matter who's covering.

idk, when I saw a clip of TO in practice on ESPN, he did a great job of seperating from Henry, and I remember one of the earliest camp notes was that Henry was getting kind of worked by TO a little bit, but Newman did a great job on him, but he wasn't on him very often
