It's not that I know of. Good signing St. Louis. A year in an NFL weight program and he'll be a heckuva 3-4 NT.

I wouldn't say that. He might end up being an OK 4-3 DT but I don't ever see him as a NT and I think Bill & Co. thought the same.

I think with the proper training he will be a good NT Parcell's said he had the size in a PC

Keep in mind that if we want him back, we can just sign him to our active roster.

Various reports said he was "lazy". Bill hates that in general but especially from an NT, he wants high motor guys at that spot. Could just be a mental thing.
Frankly I don't think many people would care that much if it wasn't for "The Phone Call"

I agree with Michael. He may have the "Body type" but his style of play doesn't fit that role very well.
Some guys can change, but it's not an easy change. It would be like forcing Barry Sanders to quit trying to hit a homerun everytime he carried the ball, and make him run more like Emmitt.
Or trying to turn Brett Favre into a good game manager.
Or turning Larry Allen into a finesse player.
Or or or...

Maybe Parcells didnt like him talking dirty to his quarterbacks. ;)

I think that Lazy might not be a good trait for a PS guy.

My sense tells me that he's not ever going to get near the quarterback.

We got Collins from the Rams, they got Stanley from us. Guess we are exchanging things, while we are at it, let's talk to them about Steven Jackson.......or better yet Orlando Pace.....

That is what had me rooting for him the most I guess. I had hope for him and figured with our lack of NT depth that he'd make the team.

So Dallas didnt didnt even attempt to sign him to the PS?

What stands out to me is that with the lack of depth at the position, I think everyone assumed he'd be a lock. The fact that he was cut speaks volumes.
Wish him good luck in STL, he'll be learning from a good player in LaRoi.

Well said... I think he'll end up as another non-descript draft pick who'll be out of the league in a year or two.

Must have misread the title, but I'm surprised the Saints didn't pick him up.

There's a lot of truth to that.
I'm extremely pleased with Watkins and McQ.
Only slightly less so with Hatcher.
Carp and Fasano haven't impressed me yet.
Green was a bust and Stanley was a bust.
The kid from Tech... who knows?
At this point it looks to be about a C- draft from me. But of course it can change very quickly.

Same old, same old in here I see. BP's omniscience v. BP's arrogance and no in-between. Only time will tell if this was a mistake but it was at the least a difficult situation given our overall talent. We don't have a lot of space on our 45 gameday roster anymore for projects.

Totally. I could have ridden his quotes about doing the dirty work for years. Loved his interview with Norm. But that's pretty much the only reason I'm sad to see him go. Aside from the fact that Ferguson BETTER stay healthy. I wonder if this says alot about how interchangable our pieces along the DL are. ie Hatcher inside, etc. Could be interesting.

I can see you going around to your teammates and saying, "please don't tell my Mom I'm a kicker. She thinks I'm a piano player in a whorehouse."

Oh no! "Magic Show"... (shudder!)
Me no like magic shows.
Not since Juke tried that "I'm going to make this disappear" trick. ;)
