I could have liked the 2004 draft and the potential we have for next year's draft a lot more if we had picked better in Rounds 4-7. We could have picked up one good CB(Will Poole) instead of 3 so so CBs(i.e draft 2000 I believe). A TE? What about DT, DE? Hell, I would have happier with a punter instead of a TE.

I agree wanted Poole, a DT , and a DE but we're building for the future. We can't address everything in one draft. I like what we did, of course it could have been better. Realistically in those rounds guys are more ST players and that's exactly what we got. Maybe we can find a "gem" with one of them.

I didn't like our second day picks either, but I will admit I know squat about them :). Time will tell if any of these kids can play. I didn't like our second day picks last year with the exception of Bradie James. I thought Bradie eventually figures in as as starter in the NFL. I am not sure we have an eventual starter with this years second day class. I was a little dissapointed in Thorton. Goose said he was the highest rated cb on his board and had a good showing against LSU this year. On the other hand, Kiper said thorton was a major reach. There were a handful of other players I would have preferred in the 4th round....although all of them are off reading draft reports rather than watching with my own eyes.

I liked the Tight end pick in the 5th. The 7th are crap shots, so it is tough to get worked up about them. I like the All purpose kid. Although don't know about the other two corners.

They kept trading down and trading down for more picks and then rolled the dice on finding a Dante Hall in the bottom of the draft.
Most of these guys are special teams/returner hopefuls. Like BJ Taylor or whatever his name was and Zuriel Smith last year. If even two of these guys make the team this year I'll be surprised. What a waste.

well thats a good thing when these guys are not starters...that means you got better talent starting. :D if these guys were starters as late round picks that means we had nobody of significance there.
