well, Maryland isn't exactly the barometer of a good team, they suck, esp. that QB situation

If they still had Merriman, they'd be a lock for the National Championship. They could play him at DE and QB and they'd never lose.
man........that slaton!!!
wow....just wow!!

Watch the WV O-line. They push the Maryland D back 2 to 3 yards on every snap.

Dude West Virginia could go undefeated this year and not make the National Championship....
If two other teams go undefeated lets say Notre Dame and OSU they would both be ahead of the WVU even if they both lost 1 game and WVU went undefeated. WVU's only hope is that Louisville crushes Miami this weekend and run the table until they play eachother, WVU would have to beat Louisville pretty well too.

Watch the WV O-line. They push the Maryland D back 2 to 3 yards on every snap.
And the offense is designed to let that happen before the RB gets to the LOS, so he gets at least 5 yards per attempt.
I didn't see all the fireworks in the first quarter, but Slaton had 8 carries averaging over 18 yards per carry. Think he could play behind the Dallas O-line?

My school is getting whopped. Glad I decided against the road trip down to West Virginia.

Steve Slaton is from my area. Being a Truman high school grad our Thanksgiving rivalry game is against Conwell Egan, Slaton's school. His last year, I beileve 2 yrs ago, Truman shut him down 22 carries for 90 yards. I mean he was putting up 200-300 yard games on a normal basis. He orginally commited to Maryland for about 3 months but they wanted to move him to DB so he left. Its crazy because the kid would sometimes sit in front of us at Truman games. He's talented, he reminded me of Emmitt with size and his speed.

Slaton ended up with 195 yds and 2 TDs. It's funny that he wanted to go to Maryland and they turned him away. DOH!
