View Full Version : If TO misses Tennessee: It's gonna be a tough one

I've heard some Cowboys fans and read some Cowboys fan who think we're gonna walk into Tennessee and throw our jersey on the field and win - I don't buy it, and I hope we don't underestimate them. Yes we SHOULD win but that doesn't mean it'll be easy. Fisher is a Great coach and will have his team ready to play - TO would make it much easier b/c of his obvious talent and that Tenn would have to double him 80% of the time - you take him away and you really only have 1 Dangerous wideout. That will force Drew to throw the intermediate routes to Witten -Crayton -Fasano etc which he did not do well last nite -that would also force us to control the LOS and pound the rock.

Yes, I think we'll win but it'll be tough.

see i beg to differ. tennessee is a soft, soft team. They do have those big WRs like Jax though

The Titans have been beaten by the Jets and the Chargers.

Please identify for me who their dangerous tandem of receivers are that secured the win over a "tough" foe, because I'll be honest, I don't see a WR on either team I'd take over Glenn.

Why should it matter if WE underestimate them? Parcells will not.

We should be able to beat the Titans...Owens or not.

Great...now that I said that we'll lose. Knock on Wood.

With or without T.O this team is much more superior than the Titans.

It's a road game, and they'll probably still be winless. Fisher teams always give a great effort. I wouldnt be shocked to see the titans put a serious scare into us.

I hate feeling over confident about a game, I feel like this about Tenn. I was like this vs. the Texans back when they beat us. and well...you know..

Meh, it's basically two bye weeks in a row.

Some of you sound like scared girls. Then again, you were probably afraid of the Cardinals the years we won the SB.

Sure no football game is easy, but come on, it is clear we are vastly superior to the Titans, and if we put in any kind of a decent effort, we win by 14. Our biggest risk is looking ahead a week to a tough divisional opponent.

The Titans are in a pure rebuilding season. They have NO shot. Our D will be cruel to the QB, and I hope my boy VY does not play because it will be ugly.

He is not ready for a D like ours.

That's what Deion said last night when talking about Owens' injury. He said well they get the bye next week and then Tennessee so it is like two byes.

The Titans are probably in the worst Qb situation in the league outside of Oakland. I think a field position battle combined with a couple of big plays from our offense will be plenty.

I was afraid of the Cards the year they eliminated us from the playoffs as well.

That was not a year we won a SB. Big difference from what I wrote.

Some of you remind me of TarHeel fan when they opened the 2005 NCAA tournament against Oakland. They were saying Oakland was dangerous, could be a threat, I said only question is do we win by 30 or 40.

Road games are tough.

I'm calling this a must win though. If a team wants to make the playoffs (and get a bye) they need to beat every team that is clearly worse than they are.

The Titans might be the only team in contention with Oakland right now for worst team in the NFL. Of course, you can toss Green Bay into that pile too. And let us not forget the Deadskins. I was far more worried about the Skins than I am the Titans.

I thought Fasano showed some good skills catching the ball when everybody else was dropping it. Might see Witten run some WR routes, with Fasano taking Witten's TE catches.

Tennessee is among the five worst teams in the league. If we struggle there after two weeks of rest, we're frauds.

true...

I thought Oakland, StL, and San Fran were pretty bad last year yet two of those three beat us and we needed a near miracle to beat the third.
Thing is, we seem to make every game close no matter how good or bad the other team is. Its been our nature since I can remember watching the boys in the 80s.

Being a ND fan, i've seen Fasano play quite a bit. This guy is going to be a great pick. His receiving is already there. He just needs to hold those blocks a little longer.

I'd like to see Witten run (more?) WR routes with Fasano at TE...could pose some interesting match-up problems for some teams.

well, id like to see TO back by the Titans game , i'll be at that game 5 rows up in the endzone and cant wait, but i dont think the boys need to have TO in the game to beat the Titans, and Bill wont let his team go in there overconfident, as bad as Titans off is playing right now, they should'nt even score on our defense, i beleive we'll win it easily, i can be overconfident but bill and the rest of the cowboys wont be. we do have plenty of weapons besides TO. we have glen, whitten, and crayton is no slouch either . the off line looked very good agaist the skins, bledsoe had time to start a camp fire back there and roast some marshmelows too, I beleive the cowboys have yet to reach there peak yet, we have yet to see just how good the cowboys really are, the def will get better and already is very good, when the off get into more of a rythm as the season goes on, look out.

Tennessee is starting Kerry Collins :laugh2:

He is backed up by Vince Young :laugh2: :laugh2:

Their offensive line makes ours look like the early 90s version of the Dallas line

They have primarily no names at every skill position

Their defense sucks outright save for Keith Bullocks

Their coach has lost it

Unless the Cowboys just roll over and die they should beat Tennessee easily. If the Cowboys play up to their best it could get ugly.

Wow, scared of the Tennessee Titans?

This has got to be a first..

Make sure you have you're diapers set for the week after, because we play at Philly the following week.
