I think Houston has a great chance because:
1) they are hungry for a win
2) They are playing at home
3) They can score points with their offense
4) Brunell is ....done
5) Houston played Philthy tough

If Mario W is going to get his first sack this year, it'll probably be against Wash. I think Portis has to be a huge part of the offense if Wash is going to win AND Wash is going to have to get S Moss the ball a few times too.
Obviously our defense is pretty good and better than Houston's so Wash's offense will probably fare a little better but they are going to have to do some things differently than they have thus far this season.

You talk alot of trash and your team has not done nothing! This is not ES where you can talk your team up like they have no problems...

When the mighty RedStinks get past page 4 of that 700 page playbook, then comeback...because right now, you are looking pretty stupid for someone your age...

HAVE YOU SEEN YOUR TEAM THIS YEAR? Oh, and please come back after the game against the Texans...because I REALLY want to hear what you have to say...

Hey, a few questions for you, ok?

How many tapes will St. Gibbs send in moaning and groaning about the refs?

How many personal fouls will Sean "I loves me some ATVs" Taylor commit?

How many notes will the RedStinks little Marching Band miss?

How many balls will Brusmell throw either to the ground or in the stands when he sees a defender 10 feet away from him?

When are you going to get a freaking clue?

The Redskins should win this game. They simply have more talent and their backs are up against a wall.

However, I wouldn't be suprised if they loose a close one.

Skins wont lose to the Texans, they are better than them, and with Portis back, he will run over around and through them. As much as alot of fans on here want to think that the houston texans will beat the skins, it really aint gonna happen. It would be hilarious if it did though, but i seriously doubt it, especially with Portis coming back. Now if Portis was still out, then that would be another story.

Honestly, the Skins are in for it bad this year. Their 2005 looked like our 2003, and their 2006 is going to look like our 2004.

Think about it....both teams had overrated seasons, us in 2003, them in 05.

Both teams QBs played better than they were (or at least got results better than they should have, they both still sucked ).

In the offseason, both 'boosted' their pass rush with pathetic players (Marcellus Wiley and Andre Carter).

Face it - last year was an aberration, not the true story of your team. Right now you have no young prospects as your core players, other than Portis and Taylor, maybe rogers. Your lines are overrated on both sides. And, more than anything, the 'best coaching staff money can buy' can't coach scrubs.

If any fans in here think the Skins will lose to the Texans, it's not because the Texans have shown a heck of a lot, it's because the Skins haven't shown jack...

But the Texans are the league's worst defense, by a fairly wide margin... if you guys can't get anything going against them, you'd best pack it in... this game is the next best thing to a "bye" for you, but it won't be quite so easy next week, will it??

To turn your question around on you, even though the competition is just the lowly Texans, what have the Skins showed you this year to make you confident they WILL win the game??

silverbear

STEALTH,well i guess the redskins have to prove it to ya again just like last year..cowboy fans and the critics wrote us off last year, and we all know how things turned out for the redskins and the mighty cowboys...dont count us out...dont do it!!!

To win like you did last year, you guys will have to stay as healthy as you did last year, because your depth is all but nonexistent...

And so far this year, the Skins haven't managed to stay real healthy, have they?? Springs and possibly Salavea are gonna miss this one, and Portis is one good lick on his shoulder away from season-ending surgery (speaking as a guy with personal experience with shoulder subluxations)...

Nope, judging by the way the Skins have been banged up since the season began, it doesn't look like the stars are lining up to cut y'all some slack in the injury department, the way they did last year... my prediction is the Skins' brain trust and their fans are about to be taught a painful lesson in the folly of building a team by spending wildly on free agents, leaving them little cap room to add quality DEPTH...

But it gets worse for you guys; the Skins are currently about 3 million under next year's projected salary cap of 109 mil, while the Cowboys are 21 million under that number (in spite of already re-signing most of their best players who were scheduled to be unrestricted free agents next year to contract extensions)...

That's what happens to you when you build through the draft, more than through free agency...

Good. Because your input and emotions, as well as ours will affect how the teams play. You tool. It's Okay to say "we" when referring to your team, but it's not okay to think the way you scratch your balls between plays actually affects what happens on the field.

Oh he didn't eat much, He was feelin real bad and quiet.. :laugh2:

Watchin' you and your brother smack on each other in here is not only highly entertaining, it's a trip down memory lane for me... time for one of my long-winded stories:

I became a Cowboys fan back in 1960, the Boys' first year... I was 8, living in El Paso... my whole family got into the Boys, Sundays for us involved church, then home to watch the Boys get killed by the opponent du jour, then dinner at the La Paloma, a little hole in the wall Mexican restaurant out by the Northgate shopping center, where the food was good and the prices more than reasonable...

But in the mid-60s, Dad got transferred from Fort Bliss to Fort Meade, right outside of Maryland... he came from Hagerstown, Maryland originally, so he was right happy with this posting, and we moved into the family home there in Hagerstown...

And my entire family-- Dad, Mom, my brother Ron-- promptly became hardcore SKINS fans... I couldn't freakin' BELIEVE it...

Needless to say, this made for some really uncomfortable moments on Thanksgiving, particularly when the Boys played the Skins... my little brother was particularly obnoxious in his fandom, and regularly stepped on my last nerve...

But that led directly to one of the sweetest moments I ever had as a Cowboys fan, the infamous Clint Longley game... my granddad was even there that Thanksgiving, and though I don't think he was a Skins fan (I believe the Colts were his team), he seemed to enjoy joining in on the fun, giving me a particularly hard time...

The game didn't go well for the Cowboys for the longest time, then Staubach got hurt... and my family got positively medeival on me... I mean, it was beyond ugly, and I was at the point of saying "screw dinner, I'm outta here"...

It was so bad my Mom got pissed at the rest of the menfolk, and even my brother's son Michael (who is now my roommate, and still a Skins fan), who was 4 at the time, started pulling half-heartedly for the Boys... then Longley started chuckin' up bomb after bomb, and lo and behold, it WORKED...

When the final gun sounded, my Dad, Granddad and Ron all had these dazed looks, and they were just waiting for me to get some payback... I just smiled sweetly, clapped my hands together, and said "I'm HUNGRY, let's eat"...

Though I did full justice to that wonderful meal, the other men in my family didn't seem to have their usual appetites; at least, I know I took home more leftovers with me than I usually did... LOL...

Anyway, trust me when I say I know what it's like to have a brother so devoid of wit and taste that he'd root for the Skins...

it's not okay to think the way you scratch your balls between plays actually affects what happens on the field.

It doesn't??!?

Now what am I gonna do for a superstition?? For sure, anything else I come up with won't feel as good as that...

From Fox Sports rankings:

25 http://msn.foxsports.com/fe/img/NFL/TeamLogo/Small/28.gif (http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/team?statsId=28) Redskins (http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/team?statsId=28)

We get it: Al Saunders has a playbook with 700 plays in it. That’s great. No, really it is. So, when do the ‘Skins plan on actually implementing any of it? After four lackluster preseason games and two pedestrian regular season ones, the Redskins' offense has looked less appetizing than a plate of spinach. The un-good kind.
