There was a play against the skins where Ware went in motion with the TE then stopped at the end of the line and rushed the passer getting great pressure on the QB.

The question, does anyone think that was by design? It almost looked like Roy waved him off his motion as to say "Ive got him" and then Ware pulled off and blitzed.

I remember that play. To me, it looked like Ware got confused and manned up on the wrong guy. When Roy waved him off, it kind of confirmed it for me.

If I'm wrong, then it was an excellent blitz scheme, but I doubt that Zimmer dreamed it up all by himself.

I am really not sure, but it worked out nicely.

Maybe we will more of this in the future.

No sure if it was or not, but I hope Zim can implement that kind of scheme in the defense. We have the defensive talent to cause a lot of problem.

I thought it was designed that way. I don't see why everyone thinks zimmer is so awful. I remember parcells saying that they have some new blitz schemes that they would start using this season and they felt they could try and mix things up a bit more in the 3-4.

I thought that it was designed myself. I have never noticed another team doing that and it was brilliant. If Zimmer designed that then it should go along ways to dispell the myth that he cannot design well thought out blitzes.

Yeah keep that scheme in the defensive playbook.

That offensive tackle was no way near to picking up Ware.

Brunell was shocked as well.

If Ware was waved off and did it ad-lib then we should learn from it and use it more often.

It does two things...it disguises our coverage and allows quick pressure on the qb.

In short..."If it ain't broke don't fix it!"

I think it was by design. As soon as the ball was snapped, he turned and ruched. Looked as if he was coming over to cover the TE I believe. But Ware blitzes and Roy takes the TE.

I seen that done yesterday in the Ohio State & Penn State game. QB hurried the throw, Incomplete pass, could have been an INT.

Don't know if it was planned or somehow improvised.

Sure looked like Roy was giving Ware a signal of some kind.

Here's hoping the Dallas media asks Parcells about that play. It would be interesting to hear what Parcells has to say about it ....
