I love these types of responses... "So you hate him huh? Yet you started a thread on him? That must mean you secretly love him."
For cryin out loud, it's a message board. Is there an unwritten rule that you can only discuss things you like?

He was making mistakes all night. There was a pass Vick completed to Griffith and he talked about the nice completion to Norwood (during the replay when you could read the receiver's name). One thing is for sure, he's not a play-by-play guy.

It was something like "The ref must have seen something to cause him to take it out of his pants". It was pretty funny - the reaction was funny too. I had to rip it & share the exchange with y'all:

Not my contention at all, it just sucks to see a thread about Theisman every time he stumbles over his words when i come here to read about the cowboys

well i have learned to ignore his idiotic talk for the most part but today it was specially retarded. i mean bill walton makes more sense that theesman!!!. I can honestly say that more than half his comments were extremely stupid tonight

If it pains you so greatly, why read it?
I get a kick out of any attention drawn to Theezman's ineptitude.

Just look where he's from, that says it all. If this had been an Aikman bashing thread, he would not come in to defend.

He also said that the receivers were going to have to run with their bodies on top of their legs. Kornholio jumped all over it, asking "where else would their bodies be?"

Kornheiser's response was comical, and my wife thought it was funny, but that notion did at least make sense. He could have worded it better, though.

OK, this point has now been established. I thought that it had already been established over and over but I guess not.
Theisman is a moron.
He will forever be proving it again and again.
Let's move on.

O
Let's move on.
But he gave us some new material last night.
The "Fajita" line and the "ref pulled it out of his pants" line will be used in the future by people like me who like to make fun of Joe.
Hey, he was really rolling last night.

MNF is a travesty from start to finish this year. They treat it like they are the Jay Leno show with all their freakin' interviews and the football game is an afterthought. They don't even have a play-by-play guy anymore and if they did they would talk over him to get their Spike Lee or Archie Manning interview done. They are trotting out the absolute worst football game production that I have ever seen. So Thiesman and Kornholio fit right in to make it a completely miserable experience. They certainly don't have any Norman Einstien running that show.

I think it's possible that the people behind the scenes at ESPN were acutely aware of the whole Theisman persona and its shortcomings, and brilliantly paired him up with Kornheiser as a sort of foil to his wheels-off comments. If you pay attention, which admittedly is difficult when listening to anything involving Joe Theisman, listen to the barbs that Tony is shooting out at him, the tone in his voice that is often acid-laced and dripping with sarcasm that just goes right over Joe's head or just pisses him off royally.
I would bet those two don't go out for a cold one after the game.

Yeah, he meant that they weren't going to be able to run with any lean. He could have said something about centers of gravity and such, but, then again, he's no Norman Einstein.
