There was a thread floating around yesterday asking people to list the Cowboys All-Time 53 man roster. I'm wondering how many of our current players have shown enough that you either would put them on the the Cowboys All-time 53 man roster, or that you think have proven they have a real shot at it.

When thinking on this topic consider all the former Cowboy players and ask yourself if you can see a current player ever moving ahead of the guys you would have on your list at each position.

Here are my choices.

ALREADY PROVEN:
Roy Williams (as long as neither Harris or Woodson are bumped).
Jason Witten (Despite youth, he beats out Cosbie and joins DuPree and Novacek).

PROVEN POTENTIAL BUT NEEDS TO PLAY LONGER WITH COWBOYS:
Terry Glenn (Hayes, Irvin, Pearson and Hill are sure things - the 5th WR is up for grabs).
Terrrence Newman (Could prove a good fit with Renfro, Sanders, Walls and Green).
Greg Ellis (Strong steady DE much like many others that have played in Dallas).

NOTE: Despite the obvious potential, I am not including TO because I doubt he will ever stay in Dallas long enough to make the list.

APPARENT POTENTIAL BUT WAY TO EARLY TO TELL:
DeMarcus Ware
Matt McBriar

*Obviously there are other players on the team that COULD eventually prove worthy, but these are the ones that I believe have at least shown enough at this stage in their careers that we can speculate.
