I just finished listening to Stephen Singular, the co-author of Owen's book, "Catch This", on ESPN. What I found amazing was Singular's negative opinion about Terrell, and how free he was to express it. I mean, usually, you would think that someone who has worked closely with you in the past would have your back, or at least give you the benefit of the doubt.
Listening to Singular, you got the distinct feeling from someone who has known Owens for some time, that Owens has little or no loyalty to those who have helped him in the past. In fact, he comes across like a little boy who is so centered on himself, he doesn't consider the feelings or problems of others as important as his own.
The one thing that Singular said that really stood out was that maybe Owens has finally found that male figure in his life in Parcells, who is going to tell him no. Even more than that, is just going to act like Owens isn't any more important than any other player on the team, so he will not get any more attention than another player. Owens ranted & raved at SF & Philly, and both coaches went out of their way to coddle him. Parcells pretty much says at today's press conference, "Oh, did something happen with Owens?". For BP to say that he hasn't even talked to his #1 WR after something as drastic as what seemed to have occurred either shows that Parcells has Owens on a lower scale as his other players, or that he wants Owens to think he does.
It will be interesting to see how this all plays out.
