Bledsoe says:

the bye week was good, fun in the sun
I know very little, TO is there, he just played catch with him and he is out on the field running around.
Playing catch outside
Helicopters overhead, but no one filmed us
Terrell draws more attention than anyone, I was concerned about him, he is my friend and my teammate and I was skeptical of the news reports and they are erronoeus.
I didnt ask him if he tried to commit suicide.
It was obvious from seeing him and talking to him he didnt.
Walked up to him and said keep your head up and glad your ok.
TO said the media today is crazy
No effects from the event, he was running well and catching the ball well, had a good attitude, proved the reports were not true.
I am frustrated with media taking off and running with the first thing they hear, like saying he tried to commit suicide. the media needs to stop trying to get the biggest story and jumping to conclusions...
We went to practice and didnt know what had happened for sure yet, but we got to know him and realized he wouldnt do that.
The big thing for us, we need to execute and not make mistakes against the titans. Can let them hang around, they have a disruptive defense that can make you look bad. The titans have our attention and we need to be on top of our game.
Our team so far because of training camp can stay focused, because of parcells and the veteran leadership and thinks that will be the case, we practiced well today.
TO can play sunday, and I wouldnt rule that out. The only thing he cant do is get hit on the hand because the bone hasnt healed yet. He has to practice the next two days though.
The outside stuff is there but it is easy for us to stay focused because of our routine and practice.
The football part is the same as buffalo or anywhere, just need to remember you are here to do a job and keep the other stuff out.
we dont see the extra curicular stuff as much as people think, we are busy and the other stuff doesnt get to us much.
Chris simms---That is what you do, he is tough and played through pain hats off to him for competing, I went back into my game when brady came in and then came out because I got wacked in the head.
vince young is the savior like I was in new england, its tough. its like sticking your head in a popcorn machine while the popcorn is popping. VInce would present new challenges to our defense.
qbs are case by case you are ready to play when you are ready, everybody is different.
competitors want to be out there, no matter what.

The comments in that interview show why Bledsoe is our starter in my view. He just seems to know what to say when necessary. McFlabb would never have called Owens his friend.

I said from the get go I didn't believe a word of this and based on what I've read I've concluded I was right. That interview makes me feel better though, better about TO and better about the state of the team. You have to like Bledsoe.

I strongly recommend everyone catch Bledsoe's interview that was aired a few minutes ago on the NFL Network.

He spoke like a true leader and put the media in their place.

THanks for the tip. Now if only bledsoe would go on espn and call owens his friend and say that he is glad he is ok, then that would kill some perception that espn uses to promote ratings and attention.

Well, honestly, this is the best interview on the subject of TO I've seen. Bledsoe is just a stand up guy. For this, I have a great deal of respect for him.

Real good on him IMO.

The guy has some weaknesses as a QB, but he is a real leader who knows how to handle the press.

Goood job, Drew!

Thanks for the report theebs!

If taking a hit on the hand is all it will take to screw it up, I wouldn't play him unless absolutely necessary. Dress him, but don't play him unless you have no other choice. I'm sure he will want to play to speed up the process of putting this week behind him, but it's not worth risking something more serious happening to that hand.

Here, here. Say what you want about Bledsoe, but he's a stand-up guy and a leader. He just strikes me as the type of person who commands respect in the huddle and doesn't need to make winning all about himself. I hope he means it when he calls TO a friend, because Owens could really use a few players who have his back right about now.

He spoke like a true leader and put the media in their place.I saw it and everyone needs to see that. He did put them in there place and showed that he TO are really good friends and he was concerned about from that stand point. He was pretty stern in the way he said it all. Hope someone puts up a link

Now and then when I see a new contributor to the recaps I cringe. Anyone would be better than me, but some are at my level which isn't good. Theebs that was as good a recap as I could hope for. Thank you. Much appreciation.

Bledsoe was classy and handled the media with the kind of flair I have not seen in a long time from a professional athlete. The athletes of today normally shy away from extended interviews and appear "in a hurry". Bledsoe is a leader and I hope he leads us to the promise land.
