Parcells:
Your White Sox aren't doing well Mickey. That's the first thing I do every morning. Check the stats.
Nothing new this morning. Everyone practiced. No new injuries and we will make some game-time decisions.
Not sure what we will do on punt returns. It just depends on which WR we take.
(Owens) looks like he can do everything he needs to do.
We will have a little coaches meeting after this and discuss personnel
He (Owens) wouldn't go if I thought he was making mental errors or not ready. I am not going to make any more comments on that so you can speculate til Saturday and check with your sources that don't know anything. I haven't told anyone anything.
Look, I just have limited info given to me (on Owens). I will just evaluate him by what I see at practice.
I don't know if he has opened things up for other players (Owens). You would have to ask other DC's that. He may have some impact on their gameplan. How much I can't tell.
We will see if Watkins has corrected his problem. He needs to tackle better for his own safety. I don't care if it was because of an injury, he was putting himself in danger.
I told you yesterday. I am in charge of coaching the team. I have a turtle shell to all of this (Owens stuff)
You are asking me an ambiguous question here. If a player is extremely problamatic is it worth it. Sometimes it is, and I'm not talking about any specific player. I'm not talkng about Terrell Owens or anyone else. The same thing happens with coaches. Some of them aren't worth it either. What I try to do is to take a player that has a reputation that was perceived to be a certain way and I found it to be the contrary. That has turned out really well for me. We're a little early in the season to be passing judgements on what's going to happen. We need to see if things are going to slow down to a normal place and see what we have here.
You know, some of the very best players I ever have, like Keith Byers, Bryan Cox, I wish I had those players my whole career. They were just good football players that knew how to play the game. As long as you were straight with them they were fine.
We had a lot to do during the bye week. I felt like we could utilize this time here. In fact, I'm not giving my coaches this afternoon off, but they don't know that yet. We have stuff to do before they leave.
I didn't alter practice in any way today outside of moving it up 15 minutes.
As I said yesterday, I have to go by the people I am hearing talk and it's , look I have to assume that things occurred the way they are being reported now. I don't have any reason not to. I wouldn't give my public opinion on anything because I am not qualified. I just hope things go on from here.
Will you at least tell us if you are taking him (Owens) to Tennessee? I am taking him to Tennessee... that's all...
