Last week, Bill said there wouldn't be any mental errors in this game, that he had a pretty smart team and they might get out-physicaled, but it wouldn't be a mental thing.
Today in his press conference, he talked about the multiple mental erros made yesterday repeatedly.
I wish one of the reporters had called him on this. I'd like to know what he thinks of his team's intelligence and focus now.

There's nothing to "Call" BP on other then he over estimated his teams' intelligence.
I think Flozell accounted for at least half of those mental errors. I saw him make the SAME mistake on the SAME blitz 3 different times.
People are calling for Bledsoe to be benched (And I don't necessarily disagree with them), but I'm calling for Flo to be benched. Let the McQ era begin, I say.

Rack, has McQ been dressing for the games?

The Parcells Paradox.
He continually talks about mistake free football and for the past four years all we've heard about is the mistakes the team has made.
And he's got a mistake machine at QB...very confusing.

No, but only cuz he only plays one side. Fabini has been dressing cuz he knows both LT and RT. But BP already said that if Adams were to get injured for a few games, McQ would be the one to replace him.

Let's not leave out his woody regarding special teams and the fact that we haven't seen much special about them since he's been here.

Apparantly we're listening to him, but the players aren't.

The 'mental error countdown' is what gets me..instead of compiling and publishing them, spend some extra time correcting them.

Ya mean like playing games close and having a lousy placekicker.

Well, he's gotten to a point where he likes to stare instead.

Well what can you do other then drill and talk to the players about it? You can't physically do anything. You can't walk over to the player and attempt to knock some sense into him (although I'd like to try that for him if he'd like... but only if I get like 17 body guards to go with me).

Seriously, Juke, I hope this year is it for Bill.
I will miss him dearly, but when he looks as tuckered out by game 4 as he used to look in late December, it's time to admit his age.
The process of draft thru camp thru preseason thru the 16 games -it's for younger men. And Bill once said coaching was a young man's game.
He found he couldn't live without football, and came back once more, but his physical stamina in 06 doesn't look anything like what it was in 03.
He rebuilt the roster pretty well, tho it looks like a championship will elude him. But he hasn't hurt his legacy with those who understand the task of rebuilding a team, and I HOPE he is not so vainglorious to coach another year.
Just hand it off to a younger man, Bill.

Take Hos with ya..he's pretty big.
I agree. I think the issue is that you've got to get smart players to begin with. That's 90% of the battle.

I was saying earlier that I was at the Monday night Giant game during his first year...and watching him on the sidelines was a blast. He was animated. He was excited. AND he was creative as hell. You could feel his presence in the Meadowlands. He had that kind of power.
Now he's just tired and ugly.
Ya know, you read his lips and he's not saying stuff like "What the hell were you thinking" when a player screws up...but instead he's doing things like calling his players "SOB's" etc...And dropping the "FU" bomb on them.
His comments on the sidelines used to be priceless.
Now it's just ugly.

Bledsoe's thrown 7 picks in 4 games...he's had a few other easy potential picks dropped
almost none of them can be blamed on Adams...
you can spin it anyway you want, but the fact is right now Bledsoe is probably the worst starter on our team

it's scary but in a way a good thing. many of us thought Drew might bring some stability to the O and some leadership & firepower as the team is built.
not happening (well he has brought firepower, but it often misfires in his hands).
thing is that a blue-chip QBs can be drafted and we could easily make it happen.
