Mickey:
This is about as imporant as it gets early in a season. We should find out quite a bit about what these Dallas Cowboys are going to be about this year. If they live up to the expectations, they should be able to win this game.
The matchup of the Dallas OT's vs. the NYFG DE's is the key matchup. At least one of them, Adams or Columbo, has to win their matchup for Dallas to win. You can help on one side, but not both. If you can force the NYFG to blitz to get pressure, then things will open up.
Dallas has spent the FA money and draft picks mostly on defense, so they have to step it up and prove the money was well-spent. Dallas has to, obviously, stop Tiki and get to Manning. The NYFG can put up some points if they get rolling.
I think this could be a classic game and could take over as the most watched game for MNF on ESPN. I see a very close game but I am predicting a 24-23 Dallas win.

mickey is forgetting the good play of the giants defensive tackles and the fact that the giants were the first ones to stunt and confuse our line last year.
I think fred robbins could have a big impact in this game. I am worried about strahan and osi, but I am actually more worried about pierce and arrington running up the middle behind big fred robbins.

Yeah, both of their DEs were playing kind of crappy up until a week or 2 ago.
Hopefully we dont see the Offense go into a shell like it the 2nd Game against them last year.
You can definately run on those guys and I espect Jones to have a decent night against them.

I find Mickey extremely boring and just only puts forth what seems to be a regurgitation of other peoples opinions.
I just don't find his work interesting. Of course thats only my opinion.... :thumbdo:

We were never healthy when playing them last year. Julius, Crayton, Flo, it was a mess. I'm looking forward to seeing how we do when our leading rusher isn't Anthony Thomas. We are running it straight at Osi.

Let's get r done Cowboys
haven't we spent more money on offensive players in FA's ?
Bledsoe
Owens
our two guards?
Its time our offense starts playing with the talent they have....unless of course....we have greatly overestimated Drew Bledsoe talents.....he is the trigger man.

This is a statement game for the Cowboys - one way or another.
They can seize the opportunity and move into first place in the division.
Or:
The can prove to be also-rans, merely capable of beating the NFL's bottom-feeders.
This is the opportunity for this team to show how good they can be.
They can set a tone for the rest of the season with a win tonight.
They can establish momentum going into a tough road schedule.
Or they can fall into the yo-yo pattern of win-one lose-one and end up a .500 team.
The team needs to show me something by playing up to their talent level.
They're talented enough to play with any team in the league.
Tonight is their chance to show that.

Another change from last year is that Gurode is playing C instead of Johnson.
I'm not at all worried about the interior of the Giants front. Pierce is a very good player, but this is a matchup we should generally be able to exploit.
