View Full Version : My "Observations" at the Game Tonight

These observations are going to be a little different that what you all have been reading tonight... :)

First of all, the stadium didn't really start filling up until about the middle of the 1st quarter. For the most part it was pretty packed, the endzones had quite a few empty seats though. The fans were a little rowdy and loud whenever our defense was on the field, which was good!!

I was really surprised to see that quite a few fans had on their #17, Quincy jerseys. Unsurprisingly a lot of fans were hollering for Jerry to bring back Quincy by the end of the 1st quarter...but it tapered off eventually. And speaking of Quincy, I sat with Ms. Price for all of the 3rd quarter and part of the 4th, when I walked down to where she was sitting, she was talking to Jerry Jones' daughter. She was saying that they were really saddened by what happened with Quincy. She also said that they have received 1,000 of ugly e-mails from fans since Quincy's release.

Anyway, Kelly Rowland, Roy's fiancee' was at the game, she sat in Section 29 behind the defensive bench. She conveniently showed up with his mom and sister right after "the stiff arm". In his defense, I thought he slipped, but oh well...Anyway, she was really into the game, she jumped and yelled every time that he made a play. After the game, she stayed around and signed a few autographs and took pictures with fans. She was really down to earth, I was shocked that she didn't sit in the suites. Her ring is HUGE  , and she had this really long weaved hair or wig in her head and a cowboy hat.

For most of the game, I sat with Randall William's wife and Andre Gurode's girlfriend. In our section, Carson from Queer Eye sat right down from us, apparently they're in town filming 3 episodes. Anyway, he was really cool, he came and talked to us and took pictures. I found out that apparently Zuriel Smith's girlfriend signed him up for the show. I was like, OMG, I hope he doesn't do the show, he'll never live that one down...

I found out that Rowdy is a black guy, didn't know that...anyway, he's pretty cool and cute!! I'm thinking how can someone that cute look like such an *** whip in that uniform!!

AB and Terry seem to be really tight, they sat together most of the time when they were on the bench and talked. I kinda felt sorry for Eddie, he looked like he had lost his best friend, he looked really sad. And I guess the fact that he didn't have a good game played even more into it. Flozell is freaking huge in person, OMG, he looks like the jolly green giant. I don't think Lynn Scott could believe that he hit someone that hard, he looked like he was hurt for the rest of the game. Julius is a baller!! He is so fast, he hits the holes hard and has blazing speed!!! Darren looked like he has lost a few pounds, but he still looks good LTN!!

I think that's it..

They came their intent on expressing their "I told you sos" and got it thrown, and I do mean thrown, back at them by Testaverde.

By the way, can you post that E-mail address so I can send an E-mail thanking them for getting rid of Carter.

Absolutly! Vinny, Henson and BP jammed it right in their faces! Too funny man. Bp had Vinny put it up 24 times in ONE HALF! 240 yards! Thats like 2 games for the Qster...LMAO. What I caught really funny is when the MNF cameras zoomed right in on the fan holding up the Anybody But Carter sign!... ;) Yep, A great night indeed!

I think that's it.. I imagine the calling for Carter did taper off..LOL A fan would look mighty stupid booing a QB that completed about 75 % of his passes for 240 yards in one half! LMAO. In fact I would think those same fans kinda shrunk in their seats as the game wore on as the REAL FANS around them gave them that.....NOW DONT YOU LOOK FOOLISH LOOK! Musta been GREAT.

I agree BrownSugar....watching the game from home it was plain to see that everytime they showed Eddie he looked just sad on the sidelines.

Also I noticed that the cameras got Vinny on the sidelines (2nd half I think) doing a sly little nose pick....I bet someone rags him on that one.

I will also say that you said you heard people calling for QC...but on TV they were showing some fans (like they always do when they are holding up signs with ABC on them) and the one said....

Anything

But

Carter

And I was thinking to myself...man people need to move on and from the sound of your report there are MANY people that need to move on.

One last thing I noticed (and commented on in another thread)...In one of EG's early runs it appeared that Darian Barnes did a bad job of lead blocking as he was pushed back into EG on the run and EG was telling him about it after the play.

Good! We can get 10,000 ersatz game analyses.

AB and Terry seem to be really tight, they sat together most of the time when they were on the bench and talked.

I hope T was explaining to Antonio exactly how he screwed up and cost Vinnie that pick.

I kinda felt sorry for Eddie, he looked like he had lost his best friend, he looked really sad.

ABC put the camera on him a few times and he looked absolutely tortured. Once he was caught smiling as he talked with Flo. But for the most part, his demeanor was pitiful. Perhaps if he actually got into watching the game and getting into it on the sidellnes like Key does, he'd get over whatever "it" is.

Julius is a baller!! He is so fast, he hits the holes hard and has blazing speed!!!

I understand Tuna is ticked with JJ for "tapping his helmet" to come out. JJ has Curtis Martin to live up, not just Emmitt Smith. Two Iron Men runners. Wouldn't want to be HIM these next few days,

Darren looked like he has lost a few pounds, but he still looks good LTN!!

My oh my, girl. MNF interviewed Darren. Geez.

I think that's it..

Sounds like you had a great time. I did too, screaming "Die, Hackett, die", at the tv screen everytime Vinnie hit a receiver.

Good write up BS. It is nice to get a perspective of the entire stadium scene and not just the game.

While watching the game I was wondering when the crowd was gonna file in. I thought I was watching a Lakers' home game for a minute.

Mike, it's a show where some trendy gay guys go into Willie Blade's digs and transform it from the opening scene from "Se7en" to Martha Stewart's jailhouse fantasy.

Bulluck sucked Vinnie into making that throw and Vinnie made a bad read. He also didn't have enough touch on the ball allowing Bulluck to go up and snatch it. I still can't believe he came down with it. :(

Vinnie has no one to blame but himself on that INT.

Vinny made another throw too earlier in the game that I thought Bulluck was going to pick off. We just weren't giving Bulluck the respect he deserves. There were some close calls with him.
