Question, Is Joey Galloway injured or what is the deal? I have noticed he has no reception that I can find this pre-season so I would assume he must be injured. I love Galloways speed but right now I love the fact we traded him for Keyshawn because it is apparent how important Key will be for our offense.

As Galloway proved many times with the Cowboys, he doesn't have to have an injury to be held without a catch.

geez, how good is that trade looking now?
Is chuckie destined to become an all-ego kind of coach that alienates and runs off talent?

and if in the final preseason game Joey has five catches and Key one, what does that prove?
I'm more than happy Galloway is gone, and Key here, but we won't know who benefited more for several months.
Joey is going to need McCardell or a similar type to take the heat off tho.

I agree with what your saying but it still comes as a shock that in 3 pre-season games Galloway has 0 catches. Now being he is new to the team you would think that any coach would want to get him out there and involved early on. I don't know if Joey is injured or not which is why I was asking and if that is the case it is understandable if he is not injured then that is not good news for Galloway or Tampa because while it is only pre-season by now you would expect at least 1 catch

Joey's been held out with some nagging injury, minor, but Gruden hasn't wanted to exacerbate his or the Jurevicius (sic?) injury.
I've seen all their preseason games and it's a real interesting camp Gruden has run. The Bucs roster turned over more than any other teams, I've read.
A lot of good oline and receiver battles going on. They've got Brown integrated fairly fast and Clayton has looked good. Some kid named Frank Murphy has turned some heads. They sure seem to be proceeding as if McCardell will not be back.
Like here, there is a glut of receivers, and the bottom of the wideout depth chart has to make it on specials.
Gallowaste is expected to play in the final preseason game.

Thanks, I figured he had to be dealing with some sort of injury because I do think Galloway is a good WR. I'm still glad we traded him because I think our team was in need of a big possesion WR and Key gives us that and while we do lose some outside speed I don't think we lose that much

He has a quad injury. It has been termed as the type of injury that he could play if it was a real game, but Gruden has chosen to have him rest up instead. If he were here Bill would have him playing, but as you can see he is not a Parcells style player.
I still think Galloway will have a good year in Gruden's offense, but as Keyshawn proved last night, he is the tonic that this offense needs.
