Mitchell, barely knew ya'.

Steele was a disappointment for years. I always thought that he could impact our team but some things aren't meant to be.

He was getting toasted by 3rd and 4th string WRs last night, missing tackles, etc...

Parcells said he running out of options at CB.

Nowhere to really place the blame here except on the front office. There were names out there but we didn't fish for them.

Sounds like either Powell or Hunter at RCB. Sounds like he thinks it's too late to to anything else.

i think he got caught up in the 4th year thing with BP. the one where you either have it or you don't by the 4th year in the league.

cason wasn't the same guy he was last year. the knee surgery robbed hin of his only asset: speed.

mitchell is batling 3 draftees and age. he's got the same issue as steele.

Why did we not want Bobby Taylor again? Not getting him was a mistake.

he's certainly familiar with the system and BP's no-nonsense way of running the team

I guess Jemeel Powell is better?

Taylor can start for the Seahawks but not for us...

Jameel Powell isn't our starting RCB. Why bring his name up?

Talk about a FA who contributed absolutely nothing. Good bye and good riddance Mr. Mitchell.

Otis Smith, and Victor Green. :D

When Bill drags them out of moth balls, then you'll know he's more than every-HC-has-holes worried.

Has anyone told Mick?

From his column:

Dislike: The Slot - Oh, did I lump that in with the right cornerback position? Parcells has been experimenting there. He's tried a bunch of guys in there, presumably looking for a backup to Donald Mitchell. None have played all that well. Mitchell will be in the slot, and they had better hope he stays healthy. At this point, they can't afford not to have him on the field.

BP said they were in the mix for "a couple" of DB's, but the price got too high and they won't overpay.

Scratch Law and McKenzie then. All they want is $$$.

Pittsburgh waived Terry Fair. Average CB with starting experience. I don't know if he has any knagging injuries.

Taylor isn't starting for the Seahawks. He's their nickel back. Marcus Trufant and Ken Lucas are their starters.

Mitchell was by far the most disappointing CB out there last night. His release isn't surprising at all.

I'm guessing Otis "my man" Smith will be signed sometime in September.

Bottom Line = Taylor is way better than either Hunter or Powell.

We had plenty of cap room for Taylor. Instead of worrying about a backup RB like George, we should have focused on CB.

But if Larry Allen had retired and we would have cut Galloway our cap room would have went "pffft".

Bobby Taylor isn't worth the money you would have paid for him. Vincent or Winfield would be the better options.

Adam? Does this mean that Sheppard/Brown are so bad, they couldn't even come close to Seattle's NB? :)

Who will win the nickel CB job in Philly? Roderick Hood? Matt Ware? Ware has good size but is he better suited to safety?

If he is, that's as tacit an admission that Bill goofed as we will get.

Hood, Ware is behind because of an injury and missing the rookie Mini Camp because of school. Ware should be able to steal his job by the end of the year if he is as good as I think he is, and start next season.

That's a fair assessment, based on last season. We'll see how they do this season.
