I too think Bulger is the closest comparison......... I guess we'll see.

cuz he was undrafted and is a little on the short side too, that's about the only comparison I can come up w/ between the 2

The way they throw the ball, Bulger's and Romo's release look very similar, not to mention to me anyways, they look to be about the same size. Both scan the field pretty well.

Now Romo isnt nearly on Bulger's level, im just saying they looked pretty similar in terms of posture

And Bulger doesnt have a huge arm. Thats a fair comparison, I like Marc Bulger... Romo can move around better than Bulger though.

Bulger was drafted in the 6th round i believe

Interesting comparison.

Although, Bulger was a third round pick....I think....

Bulger was able to come in and be relatively successful early due to the fact that he had an awesome supporting cast.

He handed off to Faulk, and he could throw to Holt or Bruce.

I don't think the Jones/Barber tandem is better than Faulk, but Owens/Glenn/Witten can hold their own with Holt and Bruce.

He has the weapons to succeed.

Of course, the big key.....our OL has to give him a little time.

I believe you're right, but that's only 2 rounds above being a uFA :D

Bulger has great accuracy, something Romo has( i think ).

64.5% completion

Bulger has improved every year also. His first year starting he only played in 7 games but won them all 14td's, 6 ints.

in year 2 (2003)he went 12-4 but had 22 td's along with 22 ints.

every year he has improved.

2003- 81.4 qb rating
2004- 93.7 qb rating
2005- 94.4 qb rating
2006- 99.8 qb rating

Hopefully we can expect the same type of thing from Romo?

I think Romo's talent is around where Bulger's is. He plays like Favre... for better or worse we don't know yet.

cuz he was undrafted and is a little on the short side too, that's about the only comparison I can come up w/ between the 2Bulger was drafted in the fifth round of the 2000 draft, next to Brady he was the quarterback steal of the crop. He was ironically drafted by the Saints but failed to make their team.

That's a very good comparison and I wouldn't mind him being like Bulger at all. I think he's Bulger with more wheels though.

Huh?

A guy consistently hitting a passer rating of 90 or more?

I GUARANTEE HOS that if you gave the DC's a qb right now that had 90 passer rating you would be looking at a definite playoff team.

I guess that would be a pretty fair comparison because people were screaming for Bulger when Kurt was in town also...Hmmm!

I know one thing, for all those who said Michael Vick isn't NFL QB material, that's about to change quickly here.....
