He has to have a nice 3rd down conversion rate too.

Not bad for his first start on the road against one of the best defenses in the NFL.

I second that opinion. A season saving win and a QB of the future, it doesn't get much better than this.

that Int was BS, he was incredible today and looked a lot out there like Brady

Yeah carolina helped us out a bit, but Romo never gave up, he kept his cool, and played awesome for a first time player

You know why? B/C he's OUR guy - we drafted him - we wanted him and he's a true Cowboy.

I dont think I've been this enthusiastic after a game, EVER! Romo might be the answer (we'll see after 3 or 4 games), COLUMBO SHUT DOWN JULIUS PEPPERS, Newman held Steve Smith to 50 yards, TO looked like he was well worth the 25 million, our special teams looked awesome (apart from punt returns), and the 2 TE set is finally paying off! Now if only our pass rush was a little stronger.

Edit: "Newman held Steve Smith under 50 yards"

And the INT was not Romo's fault.

He needs to pick up the pace during the game, especially during the 2 minute offense. But that can be fixed and will get better as he plays more.

We will know in the next 3 or 4 games, but I think we have our QB.

don't really mean to correct you, but we didn't draft him. He came to the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent.

Oh yes it was.....

He should NEVER have thrown that ball.

I think the most important stat....

36 passing attempts....

How many "rookies" are allowed to throw the ball 36 times versus a defense like the Panthers?

Yeah, the INT was definitely his fault but Gamble's foot was definitely on the chalk.

67% completion rate is very good.

What's not to like about the win tonight ON THE ROAD! Granted Romo isn't a rookie but the guy was pretty cool in the pocket considering this was his first NFL start against a pretty tough defense!

I admit I was part of camp Henson during TC.

I am now a convert.

The thing that has been most impressive so far is his ability to distribute the ball. Those two rushes for 1st downs were VERY impressive (along w/ the number of times he's avoided a sack).

Some of those conversions were unreal. It was thrilling for us, and HAD to be back-breaking for the defense. I loved it.
