View Full Version : When we were down 14-0...
a friend of mine called me on the phone to twist my nose about it. I said "Dude, you realize it's only the second quarter, right? I told you, Romo's gonna do it...just watch." Lo and behold, not just Romo but the whole team did it!
Last week I made some posts supporting Romo and I really believed he was going to be The Man. I still do. Even when we were down 14-0 I wasn't worried. (Cue the Zoners saying 'Yeah, right!') It's true, though. I can honestly say as I sat there watching the game I thought "It's only two scores...we'll catch them and we're going to win."
I can't tell you guys how good it feels to have TRUE optimism during a game and not just hoping that we can somehow pull it out.
Big ups to Romo, Colombo, Hoyte, MB3, Witten, Roy and Newman.
I really think we have turned a corner. It feels great!

After reading your post, it made me think about how I was when they were down 14-0.
With Bledsoe (Philly game 10-0), I was like, , you can't put him in this situation. Last night I wasn't in despair. I don't agree with the INT call, but whatever.
I had faith still, team just had to settle down.

You forgot Fowler for forcing the KO fumble, and Thompson had a 30 and 37 yard KO return before breaking his ankle. :(

When Dallas was down 14 - 0 I just kept saying don't panic Cowboys you can get this turned around. I was very proud that Romo did just that he stayed calm and I think that rubbed off on the players around him. I think had Romo went into a shell or became afraid of making mistakes the team would not have responded.

I was relaxed as well, I would have felt uncomfortable w/ Bledsoe back there at 14-0, because the Panthers probably would have let the dogs lose on him back there. Since Romo can't step up and side step the rush, it makes for a more exciting game.
The boys shut the Panthers down for 3 qtrs. that was huge in Carolina. Almost seemed like a home game too, haha.

Don't forget about about Julius. The only reason he didn't get his 4th 100 yard game in the last 5 is because we put MBIII in to spell him. JuJo ran well last night and I know it's a cliche, but MBIII IS A BEAST!!!

ALL MBIII gets are first downs. If it's 3rd and short, I'm confident MBII can convert if given the chance. Dude's clutch.
