This is the TEST of all test for Parcels and Romo, The Redskins have a mean and nasty Defense, Greg Williams now has game footage on Romo. The Reskins are in a nuthin to loose situation and its agaisnt a HATED rival the Cowboys. Washington is playing at Home and the Cowboys are in the middle of tough 3 game road trip.

I cant remember when the last time the Cowboys won 2 in a row, especially 2 road games in a row....But the Redskins game can put them back in the CIRCLE of RESPECT...in the NFL...Getter done Romo -n- TO

You know we dominated the redskins earlier in the year with bledsoe right?

And they only have 7 quarters of tape on Romo, in which he really hasn't shown anything.

Have you seen the deadskins play lately? Their defense is mediocre at best.

Don't underestimate their Defense....They can play... and did a good job against the colts. But the colts are hard to stop and Dallas cant compare to Manning and the Colts yet...

I was going to say, The Redskins defense has really not been that great this year.

Cowboys understand the 24 hour rule. Enjoy the victory today and get back to work tomorrow. I don't want to see Dallas get so caught up in last nights win that we are not focused on the game ahead but by the same token this game is still about having fun and I want the guys to enjoy this moment today. After all as Parcells said last night there has not been a lot fun around here as of late.

Did you just drop mean and nasty and Redskins defense in the same post?

News to me. Spitting on people and committing personal fouls isn't mean and nasty. It's just dumb.

We blew up the center of their O-Line last time. I expect more of that. Plus, I think I read that they may be starting their own young QB...

We have got to stop spotting teams an early lead. That's been my biggest gripe of the season. You just can't win consistantly doing that.

The Redskins were also without Clinton Portis (their offense is alot different with him in there) and their best Cornerback.

Regardless, time for the Boys to avenge the "slaying" of the 2005 Cowboys. The Cowboys should win this game.

How do we handle a much-needed win with a new QB? We don't know.

I agree. Enjoy last night.

Another NFL team - a hated division rival - is waiting. It's at their place and they've had two weeks to prepare.

I also feel we should take care of the Redskins, but weird things happen in this league. I pray we go in focused and play with similar intensity as we did in Carolina.

I'm still enjoying last night.

However, three concerns about Washington. Santa Moss must have noticed Keith Davis and Roy Williams as our safeties last night. Moss must be smiling. Has Davis learned anything since last year?

Also, Tyson Thompson's broken ankle is big. The guy was giving us really good field position on kickoffs, especially after the opponents scored, to help swing momentum. Who replaces Thompson? and what will we get?

And finally, if Jason Campbell gets the start, we know very little about him or how they will use him. How does this affect our game plan? Will the Deadskins get a spark similar to what Romo gave us last night?

May the force continue to be with us.

Only thing that worries me is that they had two weeks to prepare for us. Luckily they have to change the defensive game plan they had since we went to Romo.

Agree. How many times has a team won a huge game only to drop one the next week. We have to make this run since the Giants are looking really pretty good, and the Eagles are suddenly struggling. Man, I would like to have the Eagles game back, except maybe Romo wouldn't be starting!

gibbs made it all but certain in his press conference that Brunell would be the starter.

And even if campbell starts, I don't see him doing anything good. It will probably be like romo's first action. No one really does well in their first game action.

Extreme is melting down over last nights game. Looks familiar to me in more ways then one.

I do believe we should be able to win the next two road games but I gotta tell ya, the Skinz are not going to just lay down for us. They never do. That team knows there season is done. A win against us would be like a saving grace for the season. They are not going to go easy and if we aren't ready to play, they will hand our collective arses to us.

This has the potential to be a huge ambush game for us.

CaptainAmerica

No question this game is huge and historically we don't play well the week after Parcells gets all warm and fuzzy with the players. I really don't like seeing all of that after the 7th game of the season.

Gibbs will have the Skins ready to play just like they played against the Jags.
We are kidding ourselves if we think they are going to roll over for us and play dead.

Smith22
10-30-2006, 10:16 AM
Divison rival coming off a BYE week, we need to be READY, regardless of their record. We can't afford a divison loss dropping us to 1-3.

The only thing that concerns me about the 'Skins is that it is the 'Skins and it's a division game. When it comes to the 'Boys and 'Skins, all bets are off. However, their team as a whole doesn't scare be one bit, on both sides of the ball.

That being said, I think BP will have them prepared.

I agree. Dallas can't afford to take any team lightly and I expect to get the skins best this coming Sunday. Gibbs is not going to let his team give up and at 2-5 I think the skins realize that their only chance to salvage the season is to get on a hot streak starting this weekend.

Wasn't the Carolina defense suppose to be mean and nasty too? They are, they just were either neutralized or flat last night. For some reason Dallas always prevails in recent history when it is the regular season against Carolina but has managed to drop both playoff contests against the same club.

I'm actually more concerned about this game than I was about Carolina, if only because of the chance of a big letdown after a big win.

That's pretty much how I feel. Lucky for us we had the bye last week to get rested up and our defense will be at 100% for the first time all year. We get both our run stuffing DTs back, and both starting CBs will be in the lineup for the first time together all year.

We're a desperate team playing at home which gives us a slight situational advantage. The Cowboys are clearly a better football team right now though, and if you play like you did last night you can squeak out a win against us.

We were one or two close plays from losing that game until the 4th quarter, not only that, but the Cowboys-Redskins games are always an "all-bets-are-off" type game. We're on the road against a hated division opponent - it's going to be a tough place to win.

I was going to say, The Redskins defense has really not been that great this year.

We no longer have a QB that stand in the same spot and waits for Skins to sack him.

Its a whole new ball game. Yes teams will game plan against Romo. Romo is game planning too.... remember that!:D

They had a mean and nasty defense last year.

footballoutsdirs.com ranks them 28 out of 32 teams, 31 out of 32 in pass defense, 17 out of 32 in rush defense. They give up 20 yards a game more than Carolina, and they're a sieve to the pass, evidently.

This game will come down to the same two things that it has all season long:

1) hold on to the darn football.

2) dont give up big plays on defense.

If we do these two things than we SHOULD have no problem with the skins.
