Sorry if I keep harping on the same subject over and over...
but since Bill has been here and fired Joe A. and hired broomstick boy our coverage units have just been getting steadily worse....
time and time again you see gaping holes and 2 - 3 Cowboys running in the same lane...
I am at a lost as to why the breakdown in lane discipline ALL the time...
is this the new way to play ST? running three stacked

I wouldn't say Special teams the entire year has been a dissapointment but it just seems as though it's something different each week that goes wrong for the Cowboys, this week it happened to be special teams amongst other things!

I've posted the same in other threads. BP is so adamemnt about players being able to play ST. For a coach who is so concerned with ST play, he hasn't done a good job at fixing the problems we've have had on ST.

I obviously agree... it is not so much the return units... though they could use some help...it is the coverage units...lets see this year alone we gave up a kickoff return for a TD and a punt return for a TD and the other teams (when they can pick up the ball) seem to have little problem getting it out past the 30

Oh I don't know about that...I think when the returner is able to pickup the ball they do a pretty good job with it in most cases

We haven't allowed a punt return for a touchdown since 1999. And we've allowed the second-shortest kickoff returns in the league even with the touchdown return.

didn't we have a punt returned on us for a td this year?
but anyway I believe those squib kicks from Vandy that Carolina was having problem picking up helped our average.. but it certainly seems we are giving up a bunch of yardage...and I would be curious what the opponents starting field postion on average is after taken out those muffed kickoff returns and only counting the ones they actually got to return
