I went to UNC.

That program is in the toilet.

It'll be significantly harder than Spurrier's job in SC.

I agree its a mess and the shame of it is they put some pretty good players in the NFL..

I think that they did get a solid, if not stud, QB in recruiting this fall.

On the flip side, our basketball team is going to beat anyone and everyone this year.

Tyler Hansbrough pwns.

Personally I don't think it's the best decision. Michigan State is a better job. I think waiting to see what happens at Penn State, FSU and Miami would have been smarter. Heck I think South Florida is a better job than UNC.

I think NC is a much better job than MichST.. Michigan will always own the state..

As for PSU, Joe Pa is going no where and even if he would retire there are coaches that have been there for around 30 years or so and they would replace Paterno..

Theres no reason that Davis couldnt recruit well for NC .
Who dose he have to compete with NCST , Clemson or Duke..

Oh yea - I'll take Butch in a minute. He at least will garner some attn on the recruiting front. UNC could have done much worse.

we got a team up here just down the road that is pretty decent. i'd like to see a game between UNC and the U of Kansas.

I was told of this a week ago from a rams club member. I graduated Carolina in 98 I was a 3rd stringer DL/LB didn't play but 3 games (special teams in blowouts) but we were ranked in the top 5 before I lefted that's also the year Mack lefted also. The program has had athletes but the coaching hasn't been good. Give it 2 to 3 years and will be back in the top 20 UNC has everything it takes to be successful. PS the men's and women's basketball teams are #2 in the country

Davis is a good recruiter and I think a much better college coach than a pro coach
