Most of mine have been the same for awhile, though I was clearly wrong about Kalen Thornton...

QB (3) VT, Henson, Romo....I'm not buying the Romo #2 thing at all, but if for somer eason he were listed #2 opening day it'd only be for an in game injury...Henson would start over Romo without alot of thought put into

RB (3) J Jones, George, Lee...wouldnt be totally shocked if we traded Lee

FB (2) J Martin, Anderson...I just think Martin's superior blocking skills are too important not to have on the team...regardless, I think one of either Martin or Barnes will be traded for a late rd pick

WR (5)Key, Glenn, Bryant, Ward, Crayton...goodbye Randall Williams

TE (4) Witten, Campbell, Ryan, Robinson ...Trusty to PS perhaps

OL (9) Adams, Allen, Walter/A Johnson, Gurode, Tucker, Rogers, Vollers, Peterman, DiNapoli is already on PUP and would be OL #10 when he (and if) he comes back...Lehr either makes the team or is traded (which I think is likely)...

DE (4) Ellis, Wiley, Ogbogu, Coleman

DT (4) Glover, Carson, Stewart, Eaton...I think if Eaton shows well tonight they'll carry him on opening day...they really could release him and resign him for week two though because the Vikes wont be much of a running threat w/o Bennett and O Smith....Brooks prob goes back to practice squad unless they can trade him as well...

LB (7) Nguyen, James, Singleton, Coakley, K Thornton, O'Neill, Shanle...keeping 7 LB's would be a mild surprise to me....it wouldnt be a shocj if Shanle is waived and signed to PS however

CB (5) Newman, Hunter, Powell, B Thornton, Reeves or N Jones...making a move for vet CB wouldnt be a shock, especially if Hunter and Powell dont show any improvement tonight

SS/FS (5) R Williams, Dixon, Woodson, Scott, Davis...if they find a better vet for cheap, Scott or Davis are probably gone...I dont think they'll put Woodson on the PUP

K/P (2) Cundiff/McBriar....Bryant is better than Cundiff, sure wish Bryant could kick tonight and win the job...Cundiff worries me...McBriar might be the probowl P this yr

Ideally, it would be great if we could get 1 CB and 1 Safety after the cuts.

That's probably our best and quickest way to improve our roster.

I hope we keep Eaton on the roster from Day 1, assuming he continues to show something tonight.

I also prefer J. Martin over Barnes, esp. if we keep 7 LBs. 4 of the LBs should be Special Team demons.

that looks good.
Even with Woodson hurt, they might not keep both Scott and Davis. If they go short at safety....... then, that last spot could go to Barnes or Jacques Reeeves/Nate Jones.

I like your list, but I think Martin is gone. In fact, I think Anderson is the only FB we keep on the 53, and that Lee is kept as the third RB. Then, we will attempt to sign Barnes to the practice squad. Martin is a good blocker, but that's it. Sean Ryan is a very good run blocker, and can be moved in the backfield on short yardage.

There is no way Shanle is released. I think 7 linebackers is not only possible, but probable. Considering the fact that Thorton is actually a tweener and will line-up as a speedrushing DE most of the time anyway. It's more likely that an extra DE is released than that Shanle is. But I really don't think that will happen either. I found my extra spot by releasing Martin.

There's no way in hell we're gonna go into the season with Richie Anderson as our ONLY FB. Hell, he's not even mainly a FB anymore, he's a TB.

Parcells didn't bring in 3 FBs to compete so he can end up not keeping ANY of them.

Martin or Barnes will make the team. My money's on Martin.

Barnes and Martin are not eligible for the PS...Polite is eligible for the PS but honestly he hasnt impressed me in the games

I don't think there is ANY way Martin is cut...The guy will help win games in December and late in games when we need first downs...

Anderson couldn't block Mike Irvin's grandma...
But will be fine as a 3rd down back...

Barnes plays good ST and thats it...

I say we cut Scott, Lehr also might be gone...

I doubt we carry 7 LBers...

A Vet might be signed at CB, but I think a larger need is a FS who can cover...

Even though Barnes may be the better special teamer, I still think we will keep Martin due to his better blocking skills. While it's nice to get production out of Barnes on special teams, I think Parcells will see Martin's superior blocking skills as more valuable in terms of how much more Martin will contribute to the running game than Barnes. The special teams production we could get out of Barnes, can no doubt be accomplished by someone else, whereas Martin's blocking would have more of an overall impact on a game than Barnes would, IMO.

I know Martin is a better lead blocker, but whose a better pass blocker? If Barnes can keep VT upright + better ST might be his ticket...

I have to agree. I saw Jmart absolutely crush the outside linebacker in the tennessee(?) game. Barnes was very good on ST, but that's it. The overall greater impact for the betterment of the team would have to be Martin IMO. This is coming from someone who wasn't too high on him before that game. :D

In obvious pass situations, it's either going to be Anderson or one of the RBs in pass protection. In normal sets, Martin is the better player. On special teams, Barnes is the better player.

The way Bill thinks, however, is "how many plays am I going to be able to get out of this guy on gameday?" There will be more opportunities to contribute on offense than on special teams, so Martin gets the nod, barring a blow-up in tonight's game.

There is still an outside chance, however, that both make the roster...but Barnes will have to beat out Shanle for that last roster spot with his special teams play.

Lee...wouldnt be totally shocked if we traded Lee. David

It would me just because I do not expect EG back next year.
