this is a receiver that belongs on our roster next year.

he is the real deal who reminds me alot of michael irvin with more speed.

i am not just saying this because he went to high school 20 miles from my house either.

this young man has a world of talent and comes from a great family as well.

I know Johnnie Lee. He is a great guy. He's gone from a cocky freshman to a solid, team player. He's amazing. He has awesome speed (4.3 40). He can really be a real weapon in both the kick return game and at WR.

He's Jordan Palmer's #1 target, and I don't think I've seen him drop a pass this season. Come to think of it, I wouldn't mind seeing Jordan Palmer to Johnnie Lee Higgins in Cowboys uniforms for the next decade or so...

Also, tonight Carson and Jordan Palmer passed Peyton and Eli Manning for the most prolific brother tandem at QB in college history.

I've been saying it for a long time. Average size, but he's fast and as polished as they come. Reminds me of Marvin Harrison and wouldn't surprise me if he's a first rounder.

UTEP alum here. Higgins isn't just about the speed, he has powerful legs too (as seen when he broke away from a tackle for the 79yd td). Runs solid routes and most importantly for Dallas fans, Higgins has great hands.

Last week BP talked about how you need a bigger guy for KO returns, but Higgins shows he can do both. I'm glad ESPN also showed some of his return ability.

As for Palmer: 6'5 245 coached by Mike Price. Sounds like another guy that had a good career in the NFL (only Palmer has better feet hehe)

6-0 180....

Yeah, that's not great size, but with TO, Austin, Hurd, and even Crayton, I'm not sure a WR with great size is a necessity.

We need a burner.....With Glenn having knee trouble, we need a WR that can stretch the field.

Standing next to Higgins, he looks a lot bigger than 180. I'm 6'2, 220, and he and I are about the same size, I have an inch on him or so and a little more bulk. Maybe in his younger days, yeah he was kinda skinny. But he's very solid and well built now, I'd say he's closer to 200.

And Palmer definitely has better feet than Bledsoe. He played his heart out at the Texas Tech game, and scrambled 40 yards for a TD. He doesn't get out of the pocket much, he's classic pocket passer like his brother, but when he decides he wants to move, he can.

That throwing motion looks about as awkward as it gets.
Couple that with his size, and there could be problems.

Have you seen him play in real time? or are you judging by my sig pic?

Everything mechanical about Palmer is textbook sound. There is nothing wrong with his throwing motion or footwork. No one questions his physical ability. The thing on him is decision making, but he's improved that a lot this year. He led the nation in interceptions two years ago, this year I believe he only has 5.

I think he has 10-12 picks this year. So although he has improved, he isnt a first rounder in my book.

And I have seen a few of his games over the years. But against Houston and New Mexico this year, I wasnt blown away.

Well him being a first rounder is wishful thinking. I do think he has a chance in the late late first, but I'm betting he'll go in the second. One thing he'll do is raise his stock at the combine. always happens.

UTEP O-line screwed them over this year. Anyone see some parallels?...

Good point, that line is pretty bad. I think he has no chance of being a first rounder. He might get a little love in the second round on name alone, but most likely a 3rd round guy if he has good interviews at the combine. He will be a project QB though.

My bad. About half of those were tipped passes.

I think his physical tools and name will get him in the second. But you're right, he is a project. He should hold a clipboard his first year, maybe second.

He has improved a lot this year and really the 2nd half of the season: 9INTs first 5games, 2INTs last 5games.

He's not forcing passes and accepting when plays aren't there and throwing it away. And his feet...very sweet feet. He played some WR in HS and ran track. He wasn't heavily recruited by big schools, but I believe most schools that did want him, wanted him as an athlete, not a QB. Big mistake.
