I ADMIT I WAS WRONG IN BOTH SAYING SO AND THE FACT THAT WE WON...

I COULD HAVE SAID I DIDN'T THINK WE WOULD WIN - BUT I DID GO OUTTA MY WAY TO MAKE A GIGANTIC PROCLAMATION...

I'VE BEEN RIGHT MORE THAN WRONG WHICH I NEVER SEEM TO GET CREDIT FOR BUT...IN THIS CASE I GAVE UP ON THE TEAM IN WEEK 9 AGAINST A JOKE OF A CLUB....

SOME OF YOU AGREED - AND YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE...BUT REGARDLESS...IT WAS THE WRONG THING TO DO....

DOES THIS MEAN I'LL NEVER SAY SOMETHING LIKE THIS AGAIN...PROBABLY.

BAD POST BY MYSELF...I JOINED THE WORLD OF COWBOY HATERS IN CRAPPING ON US RATHER THAN RALLYING BEHIND US...I DON'T WHY , BUT SOMETIMES I TEND TO DO THAT :bang2:

I think fair weather fans are worse than negative fans.

Negative fans have a reason to be disappointed ... but at least stick around when the team is losing.

Fair weather fans are only around when the team wins.

Geez, was this whole new thread necessary?

Advice - the next time you get worried the season is over, frame your thread in terms of just that - worry. Like 1000 other Chicken Littles here, many of them justified.

Not in terms of inevitability.

The team has lost so many kinds of ways this year, and after last weeks heartbreaker, I doubt anyone felt totally confident the ship could be righted.

Imo, you hit a nerve yesterday, and today it's easier to jump on you for expressing a fear others felt...but again, pronouncing 'defeat' is different from expressing the fear of it.

Just get over it.

PLEASE. :bang2:

I think both are equalkly bad. Now just being negative on some things is fine. What irks me is a few that are negative about anything and everything, and NEVER say anything positive about the team.

Say we win a game by 30 points and instead of being happy that person starts coming into threads talking about 1 bad play means this guy sucks etc etc

Not for nothing, but this win sort of reminds me of the contestants on American Idol. They're all happy as pigs in slop when they move onto the next round ... but in the end, only ONE person is standing.

Reminds me of that Japanese movie where the HS students are kidnapped and sent to a deserted island, and given orders to kill each other. Only the last person alive will leave the island and go home.

Anyway, we were 4-4 before this win. That's close to be out of it. 2-3 more losses, and we're on the outside looking in.

We simply beat up on a lousy 1-8 team.

Did this win simply push off the inevitable? Missing the playoffs again? Are we happy like the Idol contestants to be able to move to the next round? Is the judges' axe ready to fall next time around?

If we lose to Indy, we'll be on the edge of elimination.

Hell Eddie, we've been up one week #@$ed the next, all season.

But at least the opportunity to feel some temporary relief presented itself today.. yes AZ is a 'bad' team, but as you yourself clearly pointed out, their strategy was to force a young qb to throw today, and minus one of his vet weapons.

They did, and it jumped up and bit them in the backside.

That's one more step TR needs, and the team needs, to reach nirvana...no matter how far away it is, and how near the abyss still is.

Now a better team could have used that strategy and suceeded...but by the time that D crosses TR's path, he might just be ready for it. It's flat out thrilling how Romo is, with a full playbook, with no attention to WHO his receivers are, not allowing opposing DCs to make it about 'him'.

Or maybe I'm just so used to being limited by Bledsoe, I get all weepy over a QB who doesn't present as many liabilities as assets. ;)

I think I'm just happy NOT to have Bledsoe or Testaverde back there. At least Romo gives up a hope for the future, or at least an answer to a question. We simply can't go on with re-tread 35+ year old QB's.

I want to see Romo outshine Peyton next week. What a thrill that would be. I don't want to see a shootout. I want to see Peyton getting chased and harrassed all day, while Romo plays with an Aikman-esque zeal.

That would be sweet. A win, would be sweeter. :)

Me neither.

[QUOTE]I want to see Peyton getting chased and harrassed all day, while Romo plays with an Aikman-esque zeal.

At the very least I want to see him brain fart the way the Pats always used to make him..before last week.
Panic him into a few critical errors.

But Manning is smart - he can see what any D is up to...think Bill and Zim can cook something special up for him?

Hmm...

Cruel

Poster named summerisfunner

Ok this is the part of the thread where you write a lyric to a song and it sticks in someones head and they get annoyed.

Hot summer streets
And the pavements are burning
I sit around
Trying to smile
But the air is so heavy and dry
Strange voices are saying
What did they say
Things I can't understand
It's too close for comfort
This heat has got right out of hand

(chorus x 2)
It's a cruel, cruel summer
Leaving me here on my own
It's a cruel, cruel summer
Now you've gone
