i bet that Al Singleton plays OLB on 1st and 2nd down while on pass rushing downs (usually 3rd down), Junior Glymph comes in as our pass rusher to replace Singleton. I know i know Carpenter isn't involved in this but isn't this the best possible scenario right now?

Forgive me please, but where in the world did Junior Glymph come from? I think I follow the Boys pretty closely, but I don't remember anything about who this guy is?

Junior Glymph looked good in preseason, but if he was all that then why didn't some other team pick him up?

How is not having your 1st round draft pick not playing considered "the best possilbe scenario"?

Actually, another team did pick him up. For some reason the Rams and Bills ring a bell. We signed him off their practice squad a couple of weeks back.

So you're saying that "Junior" is a better player than Bobby C? Is that right? I want there to be no misunderstandings-- :)

I'd like to see Carpenter and Burnett alternate series . I'm guessing it will be more like Carpenter starting , Singleton spelling him on occasion , and Glymph coming in on 3rd and reallllllllll long .

The problem is when Indy goes no huddle and you don't have time to substitute. Say 2nd and long becomes third and short and you can't get Al in for Junior. Or 3rd and short becomes 1st and 10 and you can't get your nickel defense in for your short yardage defense.
This really could be a very interesting chess game and it will be fun to see how Dallas handles substitutions on defense.

I think Carpenter gets a real opportunity here.
And hopefully he seizes that opportunity!

Obviously not close enough. He led the Cowboys in sacks in the PS. Bill mentioned it in his PC and most Cowboys insiders from Sham to Spags have said they expect JG to play some on passing downs because he proved in the PS he can get after the QB. .

He may have been on the Rams' or Bills' rosters sometime this year, but we signed Glymph from Pittsburgh's practice squad.
Does anyone have an opinion of Orien Harris?
