Romo had a nice game, Drew had a tough time, and JJ did not play.
I learned, once again to not try to understand Parcells; just sit back and hope there is a plan for everything he does.

BP said that he has a plan regarding the secondary . . . . I hope he acts upon it.

Reading what BP has said in his press conference, it sounds like he wanted JJ to play, but that JJ didn't want to play.
Let's be honest here, JJ has shown that he does have some talent, but he has to show he's got some toughness too. You have to have a good amount of toughness to play RB in the NFL.

Because if he doesn't we're royally screwed at both CB and Safety for sure.

Hold on a second. If you are hurt, don't you think it's kinda stupid to play? Clearly he won't get cut and I would rather try to get him healthy for Minny than risk getting more hurt in a preseason game.

It's really quite simple. If the head coach is questioning your toughness, preseason or not, you need to play and prove your toughness. By not playing, Parcells may not trust JJ as much now.
Now if he was/is INJURED then that's a different story. But Hurt and Injured are not the same thing.

As it turned out, based on What Parcells said after the game, both sides of that debate were right.
Parcells was and IS sending Jones a message. Parcells said, " He kind of had that look, if this had been a regular season game, there would have been a lot more pressure on him to play." " It being preseason we felt it was better to sit him, but he NEEDS to learn what it takes to be a RB in this league."

I'm not saying you tap your hat at every pain you get... But you know, this is preseason. They aren't real games. What if Julius tried to prove his toughness and ended up like Peterman?

Hmmm...I hope he has something up his sleeve.

I think he made a bad decision on not picking up a CB. Even if we had to over pay a little.
